What had started as a money laundering scheme, had somehow quickly turned into a legitimate business. Kakuzu had found it relaxing, a welcome change of pace from the world of loan sharking where he had to chase people down and use threats, coercion and even force in order to get them to pay back what they owed him with interest.
Dealing with flowers was much more pleasant, as people paid up front and went on their way, either with their flowers in hand or waiting for deliveries.
The only thing Kakuzu hadn’t anticipated was Hidan wanting to continue their business partnership and insisting Kakuzu hire him on at the flower shop.

Summary
The Akatsuki base is unexpectedly intruded upon by a civilian girl from outside their universe. She lacks chakra and any Shinobi training. Some members see her as a distraction or entertainment, while others are curious or simply indifferent. Others consider her entirely useless and a burden on resources and money.
However, no one recognizes her true importance, her knowledge. The question remains: is knowledge equivalent to power, or is power the only real power?
Ultimately, whoever holds both knowledge and strength holds the greatest power. Akatsuki has both, even if they haven't realized it yet.

Summary
It was… grotesque work, Kakuzu acknowledged. Hidan never seemed to mind, apparently neither does Deidara. Sasori, on the other hand, would have far more to say. His eye for the finer beauty would be appalled if he ever gets to see his partner’s arms. But he won’t, because he is no more. That’s why Kakuzu is left to tie his loose ends.
It’d be easy to gloat, but childish, pointless. Sasori was his comrade, Kakuzu didn’t take delight in his demise, the opposite, was unsettled. It reaffirmed his inkling the cloud of death looms over the Akatsuki, red of blood. It’s only a matter of time lighting strikes.
No one is truly immortal, not that puppeteer, not himself – not even Hidan.
A missing scene. Kakuzu fixes Deidara’s arms and gets plagued with a sense of foreboding.
