Gotham's most prolific vampire at the time, with a gun that fired a silver bullet. However, Martha jumped in front of Thomas to save her husband, and they both die that faithful night in crime alley. Leaving a very human looking Bruce Wayne traumatized. Joe Chill ran away, distraught from the fact he killed an innocent woman, in front of a child no less.
This Trauma causes Bruce to get his fangs. And a human Alfred Pennyworth tried his best to raise this poor dhampir. Teaching him the value of mercy and to not ever lose sight of his humanity.
When Bruce becomes Batman to fight crime and kill only the worst of vampires, he meets the ultimate evil vampire. The Demon of Gotham, later to be known as Joker.
But due to Bruce's ignorance of his vampiric side, instinct leads him down a dark path of turmoil from his developing feelings for Gotham's biggest monster.
Will Bruce ever come to terms with his darkest self?

Bruce has never been great at processing.
If pressed, he’d say that’s why he’s taken up fucking Lex again. It’s a way of pretending nothing’s changed, that this is still the most dangerous game he’s playing. That if he squeezes his eyes shut tightly enough, fucks Lex hard enough, they can go backwards. Make things simpler again.

It was Sanji, and Zoro assumed he had woken up only a couple of minutes earlier. He was in clear distress, and his hands shook as he poured himself a cup of water.
“How much time has passed?” Sanji murmured to himself, his head falling into his arms, and he crumpled into himself onto the countertop. “I’ve failed everyone once, I can’t afford to fail them again.” Zoro frowned at the blonde’s admission, wondering where and when Sanji had assumed he had failed the Straw Hats. Could it have been on Whole Cake Island? Or when he left on Zou?
Zoro made to push the door to the galley, but stopped himself when Sanji aggressively grabbed the kitchen’s den den mushi, his breaths coming out short as he dialed a number into the snail’s side. “Hello. Yes, it’s me. I need your help. Don’t give me that shit, you owe me.” Zoro’s eyebrows raised at the reproach in Sanji’s voice, but remained where he was as he continued to observe his crewmate. “I’ll give you anything you want. Help me kill the Straw Hats.”

Summary
After setting sail from Thriller Bark, the crew stops at Mushroom Island to replenish their food supplies. Upon returning to the ship, pursued by the Marine, they notice Zoro sitting under the mast, on strike.
Zoro refuses to eat or move from where he is sitting. A promise Zoro made to Robin prevents him from explaining to the crew why he fought with Robin a few days ago, what the reasons for his strike are, and what Robin needs to do to end his grievances.
Sanji is desperate to get Zoro to eat something while trying to mediate between the two parties, investigate the reasons for the strike, and survive the relentless attack of a marine sergeant major.

Nika was never a good guy. It takes Zoro a bit too long to realize that his captain had been slipping.
