"If my brother sees you here, he's going to assume that you're carrying my child."
"Ridiculous. I have much higher standards."
"I also have higher standards, but he isn't going to listen to us," Poseidon reasoned. The wind blew a bit harder, and Poseidon felt the sea rise with his anxiety. "I would use my powers to hide you, but he'll sense I've used them. You'll be fine," he tried, and Sally gave something of a skeptical laugh.
"Not happening."
The lightning grew closer. For the love of-
"In that case… I'm sorry," he said. Sally tilted her head suspiciously.
"Why are you-" she began but was cut off by Poseidon shoving her off the cliff's edge. He could hear a scream. It started loud and high before getting smaller and smaller. Finally, a splash followed.

Sally and Poseidon spent one summer together… and most of it was them being on the run for a godly crime they didn't commit.

Leon and Lancelot were supposed to be easiest of them all. The crowd all turned. The knight in question was still dressed in his armor, hands risen high to signal his triumph as he looked around. Merlin awkwardly cleared his throat and pushed himself through.
"Merlin?" He asked when he caught sight of him "You survived as well! I knew you would persevere against the trials of life as any man should. Death cannot claim us!" A woman in the crowd sobbed "Why do you look so strange?" He asked and Merlin tried to ignore the angry whispers and glares thrown their way.
"Let's talk about it after the funeral."

Summary
The routine has been the same for centuries: Arthur begins a new life in wherever they are in time, he and Merlin meet, Merlin’s memory spell lifts, Arthur’s memories eventually flood back, the idiot has a chuckle at his expense, hugs him senseless and then cries for a bit when it hits him that Arthur's really with him again. After that they pick up from where they left off until Arthur's life in that time ends and it all starts again in his next life.
Except this time, when Merlin's memory spell proves too strong to be lifted simply by their meeting, Arthur is forced to win Merlin over the hard way: with small-talk and dandelions.

Lucifer is very aware that certain aspects of personal grooming tend to go out the window for him on bad days (or weeks—or months). He does his best to keep up with it—he really does! It's just that the more visible things like his hair and clothes get priority, and by the times he realizes what a disaster his living space has become, or even worse, his wings...
Things were easier when he was living alone and there was nobody else around to notice things like the powder down that he scatters all over the place when he hasn't preened himself properly in too long. At least, they were until someone reaches out a helping hand.

“Hold still—” slender fingers tugged through secondaries, attempting to lay flat the anxious feathers. “Could you stop shaking? For maybe, two seconds??” Another tug through the clumped and matted feathers left the entirety of Ranboo’s left wing twitching out of his already loose grip, sending a scattering of black and white brittle feathers down onto the tiled floor of the bathroom.
As much as Ranboo wanted to yell or scream or cry in that moment, he forced himself to take a deep breath in, steading his shaking frame by leaning against the bathroom counter. All he had to do was remind himself that it was his fault he left his wings to preen in the morning rather than powering through the painful process the night before. He would be fine, he just had to calm himself down.
The white knuckle grip the 15 year old had on the counter top loosened as he finally brought his chin up to look in the mirror.

Summary
They’re singing to plants, Tommy being all dramatic and Tubbo singing through his laughter, when- something shifts, in Tubbo’s brain.
Of course, he’s been able to hear Tommy this whole time – they’re right next to each other, after all – but all of a sudden, it’s like Tommy’s singing directly to Tubbo. His voice is light-years clearer, and there’s a sense of lightness in Tubbo’s heart. He feels happy, and exhilarated, and content.
His heart is warm, warm, warm with love, too.
Tubbo chokes off. Tommy does soon after, eyes snapping to Tubbo. They just stare at each other, for a moment.
“…We’re soulmates,” Tommy finally says, quiet. A slow, small grin is forming on his face. Tubbo feels his lips split wide into a smile an instance later.
“Holy shit,” Tubbo says. “We’re soulmates!”
Laughing, Tommy draws him into a hug.
