Summary
Arthur tried to find words to express his utter, complete, absolute disbelief of the situation, but nothing seemed to come out. Finally, Merlin took over.
"So let me get this straight," he said slowly "A goddess came from the sky...Told you that you had a destiny to, um, help this Emrys-"
"Actually," Lancelot cleared his throat "She requested I serve as an ambassador between Emrys and Arthur."
Merlin stared.
"Right..." He frowned "So, uh, she told you to do that and...Gave you a chicken to close the veil between worlds?"
Percival looked at the pile of feathers with a grimace as he nudged them away with the toe of his boots.
"Yeah, that about covers it." Lancelot said and shrugged "My lord, does this mean you’re going to kill me?" He asked, turning to Arthur. "Because I’m pretty sure this this crystal ball has magic in it."
Arthur wished he would have thrown himself in that damned veil when he had the chance.

Instead of sacrificing himself to the veil, a goddess of the Old Religion decides to use Lancelot for the greater good of the prophecy. Lancelot...Decides to take a different route.

Summary
“Arthur? Gwaine? What are you doing here?” Merlin sounded perplexed, as if he couldn’t quite fathom how they had managed to walk out of the castle on their own.
For several seconds, Arthur was distracted by the bloody entrails Merlin and Lancelot had been waving around like bait. The innards--which now hung limply in their grasps--might have been enough to turn a weaker man’s stomach, but they only gave Arthur a moment’s pause because then it hit him how mortifying this whole situation was. Was he really going to ask Merlin if he preferred Arthur over Gwaine?
Apparently Gwaine didn’t have any such qualms. “We were just wondering which of us is your favourite.”
Merlin stared blankly, a sight that was especially absurd given the blood coating his arms all the way to his rolled-up sleeves. “I'm sorry?”

King Balinor of Arlandia, and King Uther of Camelot haven't always gotten along, they were childhood friends, but after Ygrain died at the hands of a witch called Morgause, he swore vengeance, but not on her, on magic.
But after Queen Hunith of Arlandia called to fight in King Uthers war against magic, she was able to change his mind, and thats how this love match was born.
King Uther's son was one when Ygrain died, and he knew his friends from Arlandia were trying to conceive a child themselves, so jokingly at first they strook a deal, an arranged marriage between Arthur and Balinors unborn child.
And when he was finally born, they moved King Uther and young prince Arthur into the castle, so that Emrys and Arthur may grow up together. They had no idea when things started changing between them. Maybe it was instantaneous- like lava meeting water, hardening in an instant with a furious hiss of ember and steam.
Or perhaps it was the little things - reading Fire Nation plays by the turtleduck pond as the setting sun painted the water gold, stories and legends traded like treasures beside a crackling fire in the unending night of the South Pole.
Or it was in the whispered tales of mothers and siblings and uncles and gran grans - each shared word a delicate thread pulling them closer and closer.
No matter how one thing was sure- they were no longer strangers, a thorn in each other's paths. Neither friends nor foes, neither warm nor cold but something in between. Somehow, somewhere along the way, in their dreams and only in their dreams, Katara and Zuko found each other.
In other words - Katara and Zuko start meeting each other in their dreams and shenanigans ensue.

Summary
Everything in his life seems too good to be true. Sure, being Fire Lord is stressful and constantly throwing curveballs at him. And, yes, there are mounting problems on the international and domestic fronts. But he has the love of his life in his arms, someone to share not only his heart but also his problems and passion for helping the people of the world. Together, they've done incredible work. He can't believe how lucky he is.
And so, when Katara has an accident that wipes her memory of the past 5 years, putting him squarely back into "enemy," he can't help but feel it's what he deserves. And as hard as it is to accept that she can't remember their amazing love story, he just wants to have her in his life--even as just friends.
