“He doesn’t want us touching him,” Warriors said, gesturing over at the lump of blankets where the new Link was curled up. “Wouldn’t let me carry him away from the fire even though he was overwhelmed by the people.”
“This is addin’ up in a way I don’t like much,” Twilight said. “I know he’s a Link, but…” This seemed like a lot of trouble for someone so small, someone who hadn’t been on any adventures yet.
Legend stepped forward, looking angry at nothing in particular. “When I carried him to camp, I noticed how light he was. He said he’d gone into our camp because he was looking for food. He might be from around here, but that alone raises some questions. What was a kid his age doing, travelling in the woods, alone, with no food stores and no weapon?”
OR:
Link is lost, confused, and scared. There's no way he's gonna trust these weird warriors, even if they don't seem like they want to hurt him.
The chain wants to help this new little hero. And if they find their missing healer on the way, well... so much the better!

Even with all the kind heroes eager to get to know her, the pink haired hero who stares at the sea with eyes like a homesick selkie is the one she wants most to know about, especially when everyone else seems so wary about letting her talk to him.

Three years is a long time to wait to take the throne. But more importantly, three years is enough time to grow, to learn, to plan, to bond.
To heal.Here are some moments from the in-between times. From the woods, from the cemetery, from the ranch house's kitchen. About coming into your own power, about understanding yourself and others better, about change and brotherhood and the act of growing together and supporting each other on the way up. Hands that heal, that defend, that playfully rub flour into someone else's hair.
There is no way to convey the vastness of three years' time, but these vignettes will provide little glimpses into the lives of these people at Lon Lon Ranch- be a bridge, a waypoint, a resting place, between their escape and their return. Time for healing, between survival and triumph.

In 2016, the Phantom Thieves came together in Tokyo, and forged the kind of bonds that last a lifetime. Bonds that survive fights with false gods, false realities, death and return. These are bonds that survive growing up. Bonds that survive the march of time, months and years and decades. Bonds that survive becoming adults, and all the mundane day to day realities of time.
Twenty five years later, the Phantom Thieves are still the Phantom Thieves, no matter how what else happens in their lives. But with new threats on the horizon, a kind of conclusion is making its way toward the Phantom Thieves.
...a passing of the torch, to the next generation.
