Summary

Summary
After six years on Ogygia, Odysseus finally manages to make contact with the outside world and, more specifically, his ex-patron goddess, Athena.
After six years of her ex-friend being trapped on an island with a lust-stricken nymph, Athena finally manages to answer his prayers. They figure it out.

Athena and Odysseus decide that this timeline is fucked beyond repair and they should scrap it, go back in time to before Polyphemus, and try again.

But even through all of the endless questions she had of how, why, what now, she still made sure that she flew down to Ithaca every day, either choosing to be invisible or lurk in the trees as an owl and watched as Odysseus played with Eurylochus and Polites, watching as the three boys ran around the woods. Though oftentimes, the former two ran while the latter one merely followed. They acted like the children they were, but not how Athena remembered them to be.
Perhaps if there was a way, she would have gone to the underworld and demanded her grandfather's council — after all, Kronos was the Titan of time. Perhaps it was he who could explain how she had come to the situation she was in.
And where she was, was back in time, back in the past.

Summary
Morpheus, the God of Dreams, takes pity on the King and Queen of Ithaca. Odysseus’s return is many years away, yet his and Penelope’s minds find each other in sleep. It’s both a blessing and a curse, and sometimes all that keeps them going.
Queen Penelope stepped into the dream as easily as crossing a threshold, and with her came the sun, as if Helios's carriage rode atop her billowing black hair. The carnage vanished in her presence, the ground no longer a battlefield but a sloping grassy hill dotted with olive trees. Her bright blue eyes almost glowed, searching the hillside with clear intent.
The King of Ithaca stood, gazing at her as if she were a vision of Aphrodite herself. The blood streaking his face and staining his hands evaporated in the wake of her sunlight, the dead bundle in his arms vanishing with it.
Morpheus stared as well, unable to believe that she stood before them. It was no shaped dream becoming a nightmare, no conjuration of the King’s mind to protect himself. It was her, slipping into his dream as if it were a room in their home. Answering her husband’s desperate cries.

A wonderful series which features a deaf Mycroft, a Sherlock who sometimes goes non-verbal when he's overstimulated or exhausted, and the eminently compassionate and protective Dr. Watson. So many moments across these fics that melt my heart, including in no particular order: Mycroft's sign name for Sherlock being "little bee," a new Irregular clinging to Holmes like a gosling, Watson letting people underestimate his cleverness, and just overall the great representation of those with disability being understood by others.

This is a group of interlinked short stories (most between 2000 and 7000 words) which tell the story of how Holmes and Watson really came to be separated at the Reichenbach Falls, and how they found each other again. Each story is in the form of a document--a letter, a journal, a surveillance report, an affidavit, etc.--which is linked to one or more ACD canon tales, and which tells us something about that story that was changed or suppressed in Watson's published account of it. Holmes/Watson, with glimpses of other relationships. Only one story ("The Boy in the Boat," which is f/f) is rated M. Everything else is T.
ACD canon stories that inspired "Missing Pages" include: The Hound of the Baskervilles, The Sign of Four, "The Final Problem," "The Empty House," "The Naval Treaty," "A Case of Identity," "The Greek Interpreter," "The Gloria Scott," "The Noble Bachelor," "The Copper Beeches," "The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax," "The Devil's Foot," "The Illustrious Client," and "A Case of Identity."

A favorite epistolary series and a fav Holmes series all in one. Lots that I love about this one, mainly the community that forms between Holmes' clients and loved ones that solve their own mysteries (Mary Morstan's co-founded Society for Ladies) and put their all into helping Holmes and Watson in their time of need. There's also guest foreshadowings from future clients like Kitty! So many scenes and characters that are very memorable. Namely, Sophia Kratides (I support women's wrongs when it's as justified as this), Lady Frances (she is not just a victim and surprises Holmes), and Percy Phelps (who says fuck you to toxic masculinity).
