An anonymous tip leads to Lucius Malfoy’s arrest, Narcissa is no where to be found and Severus is now Draco’s legal guardian. That was the easy part, the hard part will be putting his godson back together.
What Draco went through that summer rendered him lost, malnourished, and so full of rage and grief and fear he was choking on it.

“The first voluntary words you speak since our arrival a week ago and naturally they are regarding your unhealthy obsession with Mr. Potter,”

Jason landed, hard.
He gasped in a breath and tried to shake free of the dizzying disorientation as he pushed himself up on shaking arms. The world swooped violently and he fell back down, jarring his chin on the rough ground. He closed his eyes against the nauseating swaying before he threw up.
He swallowed harshly, forced the rising bile back down, and took slow, deep breaths. Just like Slade had shown him. He could practically hear the man’s voice in his head, as gruff and impatient as always.
Orientate yourself, Jason. Find a weapon. Get somewhere defensible. Kill anyone in your way. Recon.
He nodded along to the remembered instructions and forced himself to stand. He stumbled drunkenly for his first few steps but he wouldn't let anything stop him. Not ever again. Definitely not some stupid fucking dizziness.
He staggered across the rough grain of the rooftop he had landed on. New York’s skyline stared at him across the East River.
How the fuck had he ended up in Brooklyn?
Fuck.
He had to find Slade — he, at least, would know what to do.

Summary
Maybe the lesson they were supposed to learn was indeed the power of friendship. However, Yelena is going to quickly decide that the power of friendship doesn't just extend to this team: there's a young, overpowered vigilante swinging through New York that clearly has just as many issues as any of them, and hard as it is to make new friends, the team's going have to if they're going to figure out how to get around Valentina's new directive: to aid Mayor Fisk in his city-wide vigilante crackdown.
Basically all the old avengers fics where they'd adopt one emotionally broken Peter Parker but instead, it's the Thunderbolts and they are, unfortunately, just as messed up as this poor kid is. They're going to figure it out, though.
In other words, 5 times the New Avengers tried to learn something about Spider-Man, and 1 time Peter Parker let them into his life.

Kaiden didn't know what to expect when they raided the leaders of the werewolf traffickers and werewolf fighting ring. An aggressive, near feral, wounded omega werewolf was not on the top of that list. Very little of this werewolf sat right with him. But, it didn't change that he was hurt and needed help, and Kaiden would do his best, as pack alpha, to provide.
