No, Merlin hadn’t flinched from a simple spark of static earlier…. It was the mark. This mark. Arthur’s birthmark. Merlin knows what it means.

Arthur quickly spoke up next to him, giving her a bow of his own, though not as deep as Merlin’s. “I assure you, my lady, that I would not have shot if I knew what you were. I did not think, and for this, I apologise with all my heart.”
Merlin almost felt the smile coming from the spirit, along with the gentle giggle of the trees that accompanied it.
“I am not angered, young King. In fact, I wish to help. Though you will not see it that way, at first.”
or
Arthur, Merlin and the Knights are out on a hunting trip. Arthur is much too trigger happy, which once again lands him and his friends in trouble. But maybe it's for the best, this time.
