Summary
Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.
Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.
His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.
But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"
By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.
But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…
Shane says yes.
And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.

Closer than he probably should.
A year after mysteriously dropping out of the 2009 draft, Shane Hollander is signed by the Boston Raiders, right behind Ilya Rozanov. Having the two biggest stars in the league on the same line is great for Boston — but playing alongside their worst rival was never exactly in Shane or Ilya's plans. Instead of Shane, it is Ilya who suffers a concussion during the Boston-Montreal game in April 2017. Dazed and agitated, Ilya briefly starts speaking and responding only in Russian and the medics can’t calm him down. Luckily, Shane started studying Russian after Ilya spoke to him in Russian on the phone from Moscow. For no particular reason. Certainly not because he’s fallen in love with Ilya Rozanov.
In Montreal with lingering concussion symptoms, Ilya is advised not to fly home for a few days, and the hospital won’t release him without assurances that he has someone to stay with him until his symptoms improve. Luckily, Shane conveniently has a condo in Montreal no one knows about and a few days before he has to travel again.
But Ilya’s symptoms don’t resolve after a few days. Which is okay; Shane can handle it. He can take care of Ilya, study Russian, lead his team into the playoffs, and keep Ilya’s continued presence in Montreal a secret. He can do everything, no problem. He is Shane Hollander after all.

Summary
Set around S4E11 into S4E18 (Or around that, at least, this very loosely follows cannon)
Oswald becomes Jerome's... whatever while sat in Arkham, waiting to plan his escape so he can safely get at Sofia Falcone and rescue his boy, Martin. He comes to terms with the arrangement quicker than expected. It's not awful, and Jerome's influence in the asylum helps make his stay more tolerable than it was the first time. It's not a huge price to pay.
He's working hard to move past Edward and their back and forth betrayals and he's pretty proud of himself for it.
But his eyes catch the shine of those idiotic glasses that frame his nose so well, and Oswald almost falls right out of Jerome's lap when he realizes that Edward has been arrested too. He's there. Imprisoned with Oswald... again. Because the last time they'd been locked up together had gone so well.
