Every time his thoughts followed this trail, he felt the press of the dragon’s prophecy, the beast's rasping words so potent it was as if they were etched into his skin like scales. Merlin did not answer. Arthur sighed.
"Just...just...when that door closes, when we reach the end of the day. Just allow yourself to relax for just a while." Arthur tried on a small smile, holding his palms up in a gesture of surrender. "I promise I won't tell anybody."

理论上讲是dark Arthur但是arthur前期在本篇里的dark成分貌似止步口嗨与yy（虽然亚瑟小伙的口嗨内容真的很狂野但是在所有打darkxxx标签的黑化角色里跟佛一样），主要暗黑内容集中在最后两章。非常狂野，非常黑暗，但是如果只看前18章的话就只是一个敌对立场亚梅战败梗，加入一点黑暗性幻想与酸涩的结局。

This is the last straw for Merlin, leaving Arthur to deal with Merlin's disappearance, struggling with unknown feelings and the rumours that now brand him an enemy, and leaving Merlin to either try and start over anew, or seek out revenge.

Merlin's life falls apart the moment he sees Agravaine kill Gaius after convincing the king he is a traitor. Feeling lonely and hurt, Merlin swears revenge upon those, who took his mentor away from him. He promises himself he will make Arthur pay. Joining Morgana seems to be his best option, but is it really the right decision?
Meanwhile Arthur tries to cope with losing his friend, but why does everything remind him of Merlin? Surely, he can't miss someone who wants him dead. They're supposed to hate each other now.
