Tommy had been in Phil’s home for less than three days, and already, Phil was mentally organizing adoption papers.
Tommy had been quiet and withdrawn from the moment his social worker dropped him off, but glimpses of fight surfaced every so often, his eyes and tongue growing sharp. Phil was happy to see it. A little spunk was nothing he hadn’t dealt with before. After all, Wilbur and Technoblade hadn’t exactly been easy fosters before he adopted them.
Tommy’s file had warned of many so-called problem behaviors, but the recent addition of an autism diagnosis cleared up many of them for Phil. It seemed that Tommy had just never been in a foster home that was willing to accommodate his needs.
Phil was looking to change that.

Tommy had thought his life was completely normal. He lived with his parents, he had friends, he went to school- it was fine! Until one day he decided to open his big mouth and complain about something small to his teacher, resulting in the situation he was in now.
In a car with a "social worker" being relocated to the "Crafts".
Tommy doesn't know what's going on. He doesn't understand why his parents were bad, why he was being taken away, why his whole life was being turned upside down, and most of all he didn't know why he felt so powerless to it all.
Tommy just wanted to go home. But now, he doesn't even know where his home is.

Grian isn't expecting to find a random traumatized half-dead teenager in the woods. He's even less expecting the struggle it will be to help the teenager, or the lifetime friendships that will be built.
