    Asha Lavellan arrives at the Temple of Sacred Ashes tranquil, recruited by the Rebel Mages to testify to the Conclave about the atrocities committed against her Clan by a group of rogue templars, who left her home destroyed and her an unwilling victim of the Rite. The next day, she wakes up, her hand marked with the anchor, and her tranquility somehow negated. Newly returned to consciousness by unstable magic she doesn't quite understand, she must try to deal with her out-of-control emotions, her grief, and the fact she's now supposedly meant to... save the world?

    A sort-of novelisation of Dragon Age: Inquisition, but with some minor and major plot changes, and one hell of a pro-mage, disaster-bi Dalish Inquisitor. The Clan Lavellan war table mission happens (badly) before the narrative of Inquisition begins.

    The romance is enemies-to-friends-to-lovers and 'lovers' will be taking a long, long, LONG time to happen. It is an extreme slow burn. Honestly, I even hate myself at this point.

    Mirienne Lavellan is tired of being the Inquisitor. With the breach finally closed and the obliteration of her clan, she's ready to cut her losses and pursue a clean slate. She just hopes it isn't too late to forge a fresh start for herself in this strange and confusing world. Will her friends be able to help rediscover who she is now that she's no longer interested in being the Inquisitor? Or will she be forced to remain shackled to that title permanently? It seemed only time would tell.

    Update: Several early chapters will be receiving remasters. Wrote them when I was fairly new to fanfic and I feel like I've grown as a writer since then so I wanted to improve them. Plot will be the same but some dialogue has been altered to sound more authentic to character and scenes have a bit more depth to them. Will revamp the others as I'm able.

They find some sense of kinship and comfort in one another, despite constantly dancing around any true sense of openness. She struggles with the title of Inquisitor and everything it entails, as well as the nightmares which have haunted her since childhood.

    Solas becomes increasingly intrigued by the brooding, grouchy woman, and she in turn is curious about the ever polite and clever dream-walker. Slowly, their friendship shifts into something else.

    A little blip written from random inspiration. Can never tell if I'm writing Solas OOC so if you notice either way I'd love some handy feedback! Same for my overall writing, love me some construction x

    Ellana jumped at the man's voice and whirled around to face him. The infamous apostate hermit. She had envisioned a bent over, crabby old man with a tangled beard and silly hat. The silly hat was accurate; though it was an oversized sun hat rather than a pointy witch's one.

     

    Aside from that, though, he was tall and lean, middle aged, bald and clean shaven. His clothes were moss green and tan with neat patches. He even wore a little gardening apron. Just the cutest little hedge witch imaginable, and she smiled a little at the thought.

    He awkwardly smiled back before clearing his throat.

     

    New to this part of the country, Ellana is dared to go inconvenience the local hermit mage. He's more amendable to it than expected.
