She smiled softly and knelt at the grave.

Celine didn’t know what she was getting herself into when she met Mi-yeong and Nari. She was the center of their team. But when Celine finds out about Mi-yeong’s relationship with a demon, everything begins to crumble. Only a few demons can break through their powerful Honmoon. They are stronger, more resilient, and unlike any Celine has fought in the past. And Mi-yeong just happens to be meeting one of them. In secret.
(In the dark, searching for answers, she finds the two alone in an alleyway.)
Mi-yeong’s choice risks everything the demon hunters fight for. Mi-yeong must now make a choice, because you can’t live with a foot in two worlds, and demons don’t deserve to live. Or do they? Faced with two choices, Celine makes the choice for Mi-yeong, so her friend won’t have to.
(It wasn’t supposed to turn out like this. None of this was ever supposed to happen.)
One passes. One follows. One is left behind. At the very end, Celine is the one at fault for Mi-yeong’s death and is left alone to raise a child that never should have existed.
