Summary
When Kratos is a little girl she looks to her younger brother and sees softness, this would be fine if they were anywhere but Sparta. A place where softness is left to die or is tossed off a mountain. So in the dead of night she trains him.
When Kratos is a little older and the ones who have taken her brother are gods and not soldiers she manages to keep her temper well enough to impress the newest oracle.This is what changes her fate forever, because she does not stumble through life thinking her brother dead, because she knows that the death of her daughter will be reversed somehow.
Because one day she and her blood will stand tall above their enemies.
Now all she has to do is get there.

Summary
My version of Kratos's life story, told from childhood up until the very end of God of War 3, with all the drama of a Greek tragedy.
Born to a family in disgrace, Kratos has no hope of ever joining the ranks of the elite Spartan army. Until, one day, Kratos catches the eye of one of the most powerful men in all of Sparta. Taken on as his pupil, Kratos is determined to prove his worth as a warrior. As he rises through the ranks and defeats foe after foe, it seems to all the world that this fearsome man with the red tattoo is unstoppable.
Only the ultimate sacrifice will satisfy the gods and grant Kratos the power he craves, and only after being given that power does he realizes that he cannot possibly pay the price.

No one, not even the Gods who ruined his life, the Titans whose vengeance made them use him as a pawn, the sisters of Fate who did nothing but add to his tragedy and rage and the Furies who hunted him and tortured him in the name of Ares and his lust for power, will not stop the Spartan.

Fire is everywhere, remorseless as it burns up homes, businesses and the nearby trees, flora is decayed.
Blood is flowing through the village almost like a work of the god of war and his champion.
In the end however, it’s only the champion who will fall from whatever grace he had.
In the end it only led Kratos to murder his wife and child.(Calliope and Lysandra’s POV in chapter one and Kratos’ in chapter two.)

A god tried to write his own fate, failed, and his killer (his apprentice, his successor) succeeded where he had not.
This is that story, and some of what War hoped it would be.
