Ken could only hope Daisuke had come through, that he'd worked out another of his miracles and Ken wouldn't have to shoot down one of his stupider ideas. He hoped they could figure a way out of this.
Warm hands grasped his upper arms, and Daisuke stopped in front of him—Ken flushed at the contact, the panic rising again. But Daisuke looked up at him with big bright eyes and said, "Ken, we need to get closer, okay? Try to sync up again, you know," and Ken could only nod in agreement.
He wetted his lips. "How? What can we do?"
