Four years have passed since the digital monster invasion in Soutriver. The metropolis was rebuilt and life returned to normal. But soon the status quo will be disturbed for those tied to the 'digital monsters'.
On one side, a known hacker group wages a cyberwar against a mysterious group which is producing dangerous replicas of the so-called ‘autonomous cyberweapons’ for their own gain.
On the other side, a hacker-hating girl who fights to try to prove the innocence of her father, who was judged guilty for the monster attack in Soutriver.For both, a mysterious message from the Digital World addressed to ‘those who follow the star’: a 'new Coming Gloom' that will change the world they know forever. How well will they fare their odyssey?

Denrei has always dreamed of having a Digimon partner, has dreamed of an adventure of his own. But he soon has to find out, that adventures in the real world are far more deadly, than he has imagined them to be.

Lately, the world has been experiencing an unknown surge of strange incidents, electronic abnormalities, and missing people. Four years ago, a six year old boy named Hitoki disappeared, son of the inventor Shinkibo Sosei and the doctor Shinkibo Ai, who along with their very house disappeared one winter. One year later, out of a snow filled forest that had been empty and searched for days, Hitoki emerged, showing an almost scary lack of signs any time had passed for him at all, and almost no memory of the time he went missing.

Working hard to be faster, hone his exceptional hearing, and study hard to have a future and perhaps one day find his parents, all that changes when he has a strange encounter and meets a Digimon named Loogamon, making new enemies and getting involved in something new in the process. Now aware of dark forces that are involved, he and Loogamon will have to unlock the power of their bond, new powers, and new ways to Digivolve...and this time, the humans wont be standing on the sidelines either. What will win in the end, darkness or hope?

As the 4 partner digimon suddenly find themselves reborn at Primary Village, without any memory of how they died, they discover that a lot has happened in the time their data was being reconfigured.
A virus has plunged the Digital world into chaos and a group calling themselves "the 4 Apocalypses" have taken command of the Digital World and made sure to quarantine off all the infected Digimon.
Soon after, the 4 little digimon set off to try and find their partners and help fixing this mess.
But as they soon discover, the 4 Apocalypses' intentions might not be as good as they lead on to be.....!(Mind the Tags! This story gets dark later down the line, but I will add warnings in the notes for when that happens!)
