Summary
Jade Mountain Academy is in complete disarray after the events of the IceWing murders. The school is on lockdown, students have died, and the killer has escaped.
Obsidian has done his part, and he was permanently scarred for doing so--but he knows best of all that there's no rest for the wicked. He's the only one with the willpower to do anything about it, no matter what it costs him. Even if it's his own life, and his winglet is only getting in the way of his ultimate mission: killing the murderer. All of them are useless. All dragons are useless. He can only rely on himself. He knows best. That's the truth, and Obsidian has burned it into his heart.
But buried deep beneath the dunes of his home lies a conspiracy that all ties back to the IceWing murders, revealing dark secrets about his home, his family, and the very world that he lives in--bringing him to the ultimate question: how many more dragons is he willing to sacrifice just to achieve his revenge? Is he even willing to sacrifice himself?
A fan-made continuation set in an alternate timeline after the events of the third arc in Wings of Fire. Spoilers ahead for books 1 - 15 in the series, as well as Extinction Book 1! Much love, be kind.

After a confrontation with Winter, the prince of the icewings, over a scavenger, the seawing is added as the eighth member of the Jade Winglett due to his knowledge of scavengers.
