Quackity didn’t even realize how fucked up he was until long after Schlatt had died. He thought he had grieved, he thought he had gone over all of that. He thought he was done. He knew Schlatt had been a bad guy, but he had not realized how bad he was until after he was gone. When he wasn’t around to shove Quackity into the counter, or shatter a glass bottle near his hand, or smack his face so hard Quackity’s ears rung. He didn’t realize how bad these things were until Schlatt was gone and he was with Sapnap and Karl.

Or- Quackity thought abuse was normal in every relationship. Karl and Sapnap try to sit him down and explain that it’s not. Quackity freaks out but Tubbo calms him down.-
