Summary
Leo wakes up with fresh tears in his cheeks. He feels terribly sorrowful and confused, the dream he just had was odd to say the least, he isn’t even sure if he could call it a dream rather than a nightmare, everything seemed so awful and gloomy in it, even that weird tender moment, and he isn't exactly sure what was happening in the end, everything being too confusing despite how vibrant and clear the memory of the dream is, but he knows that he lost his family in it, and just the idea of that ever happening breaks his heart, because no matter how much they annoy him and bother him, his family means the world to him.
Even lately, when they fight more than they laugh, Leo wouldn’t exchange his family for anything.
Or: Leo starts having dreams of the future, unfortunately it takes him a bit to realize this and instead he thinks he is having the worst nightmares ever. This forces him and his family to confront the reality and repercussions of being a hero and a Hamato.

They’re a turtle. Dark green skin, yellow markings - whorls of color that stretch from temple to jaw and disappear into the cowl around their neck, and a glare that could strip paint-
But part of that glare is the same brown eyes they all have. Dad’s eyes.
One of their siblings is alive.
Or, the Hamatos find one of their missing siblings in the care of Big Mama. Integrating her into the family proves to be a little more complicated than initially expected.

AN UPDATED VERSION OF ONE OF MY FANFICS
After a messed-up patrol, leaving Mikey injured because of the three brothers' actions, Splinter punishes them from going to the surface until they can learn to work and adapt with Michelangelo together.
It is then that Donatello created a drug called the BIO (Bionic-Intelligence-Organism) that boosts Mikey's intelligence, his behaviour and his strength.
Hoping that this would lift the punishment, the three brothers went along with the plan and tricked Mikey into eating a pizza with the drug in it, and soon the formula worked
For the time being, the BIO transformed Michelangelo for the better as he is more mature, a lot smarter, stronger and even better at things
But as the drug gets stronger and stays longer in Mikey's system, it begins to turn him into a different person, something cold, something opposite of who Mikey is...Something sinister
Will the family find a way to reverse Mikey back to his natural self or will this dangerous new Mikey be their downfall?

Growing up as a young mutant turtle comes with its own special challenges. Under these circumstances, sometimes even simple games can have dire consequences.
(Set prior to the series)
Kickoff - The last thing Donnie wants is to play a silly game, but someone won’t take no for an answer.
Second Inning - Mikey is tired of being the smallest and slowest. He’s going to win this time, no matter what.
Third Period - Raph’s not about to let one of his brothers get away with cheating. But his attempt to keep things fair might make everything worse.
Fourth Quarter - When a game takes an unexpected turn, Leo figures out pretty quickly that winning isn’t the most important thing anymore.

Stockman said that they were rewiring Leonardo’s brain so that Saki’s presence emanated in every fired neuron and connected synapse. Saki likened it to taking a sledgehammer to his skull.
or, at the end of season 2, the Shredder decides to keep Leo and instead sends a message by hurling Splinter's comatose body through the window. This gives him about three months to break Leo down into something new, through a combination of sensory deprivation, sensory overload, and a whole lot of mindfuckery. He wants a loyal devotee, even if he has to cram love down Leo's throat until it's all he's capable of bearing.
