Summary
It always hurt, each word spoken a knife stabbed into his heart. Somewhere along the way, an ache settled deep in his stomach, knowing what his father thought of him. But that wasn’t the worst part of it all; it was the fact that he knew everything was true.
Neteyam was the better son. And now he’s dead—because of him.
Neteyam dies; Lo’ak lives.

“We’ll be making a trip to Varenne. But,” he lowers his voice, “no one can know.”
“Are we kidnapping him?”
Laurent finally surrenders to the impulse and chuckles lightly. “Ask Nicaise if he wants to go.”
“Is that who we should be asking?” Ancel’s words settle between them, and none of them make a sound until Laurent finally replies.
“By the time he’s aware, it will be too late. I’m certain,” that my uncle is perfectly capable of finding some other blue-eyed boy to fuck “the Regent will survive the loss.”

Summary
The flier featured a portrait of the Fire Lord. The man was young, around Jet’s age. He possessed sharp golden eyes, dark hair, and a resting expression that looked faintly like a scowl. The red scar over his eye was devastatingly distinct. It was Lee.
A familiar burn sparked inside Jet's chest, and with it came a fury of realizations. Lee was never Lee. He was Zuko, the whispered-about banished prince of the Fire Nation, now Fire Lord. Jet had been right all along. He was an ashmaker, and he was a liar and a fraud.
Zuko had long since settled into a solitary routine. His closest friends, spread across the world, only visited on occasion. Uncle Iroh had retired to his tea shop. Suki and Ty Lee left when he relieved the Kyoshi Warriors of their duty, when the assassination attempts died down, and he could hardly call any of his current ministers or guards 'friends.' While he and Mai stayed in touch, they were never as close as they once were. He had not set eyes on his sister in years.
He was still figuring out how to be content with his loneliness, when someone he never expected to see again attempted to kill him. Frankly, it was a pleasant surprise that Jet was still alive.

Summary
Zuko has the scrawny prison guard over and on his back in an instant. His fist curls above his head, igniting itself in flames as he lands on top of him, lips pulling back to scowl. "Not this time, you piece of shit."
The guard heaves. "Wait! wait wait wait! Stop! It's me!"
Dark tan hands peel off the helmet. Beneath it is an impossible face; one he remembers had clasped his hands ten months ago. Zuko's breath sucks in, fast and dry, feeling like a bucket of ice has been dumped on him
"Yeah," Sokka huffs, a soft smile curling his lips. "You're okay now. It's just me."
Or
Where Zuko is banished without Iroh or the task of searching for the Avatar, gets a bounty on his head, and has to be saved from Boiling Rock Prison by an annoying Southern Water Tribe warrior that makes him feel really weird.

Summary
"In the ninth month of the fiftieth year of His Undying Gloriousness Emperor Belos’s rule, the Golden Guard hit the ground sprinting.
When his assignment arrived earlier that morning–wild witch, downtown Bonesborough, menial work–he would’ve laughed, if he didn’t know better (this was the Titan’s work and he ought to be grateful, damnit)."*
When Belos discovers his Golden Guard has been keeping a secret palisman, Hunter is violently ousted from his old life and into a new one. Although he's trying to let his wounds heal over, it's hard not to pick at the scabs, and the wild-magic learning curve he's being thrown for certainly doesn't help.

...And he does not know if it was Payakan’s banishment— a part of him, torn away– that tips the scale in his heart or if it was his father's words that broke him but either way he is certain
of his decision to die and sink into it again. To return his borrowed energy.Lo’ak will pull the trigger and shoot himself through the head and by the time the hour has passed, the water lapping at his knees now will have claimed him and he will be free of this.
(Or: Lo'ak doesn't throw away the gun that night, but manages to survive his shot against all odds. Everyone comes to know what he did. How will his parents react to it? How will Lo'ak feel, having failed his attempt? And is there a way to heal after such an occurrence- not just his body, but his mind, soul and relationship with his father?
I have a ton of painful feelings and hurt / comfort planned. I've loved all the fics on this so far... and here it is my way!)

Hunter had been created to die.
This was an undeniable fact, and one he’d grown quickly accustomed to.
But when creation outlives the creator, what is it meant to do next? And if said creation is placed into a realm far beyond its reasonable scope, how well can it pick up the pieces?
The answer was ‘not well,’ apparently.
Or,
A look at the life Hunter lives during the months the group spent in the human world.

Summary
The Golden Guard has been raised in the Titan's image all his life. He has always striven to fulfill His will, as told by His Mouthpiece, his uncle. Life has not been easy, but he's never expected it to be when following the righteous path.
And then he and his uncle are captured. Separated from Belos, the Golden Guard will do whatever it takes to free him so they can return to fulfilling the Titan's will—even if it means playing along with a "therapist" and giving himself a "name" and attempting to make "friends;" he'll do whatever it takes to get their guards down.
The only problem with this plan is that he wasn't expecting to like going along with his captors.
[Or, another Hunter-is-raised-in-a-cult-and-then-gets-rescued-while-Belos-goes-behind-bars AU, except this time the cult is in the Demon Realm.]
