Ilya does mind. Hearing it said back to him, almost makes him flinch, a sudden and brittle sound right next to his ear that he fails to recoil from in time. But he swallows back the bitter truth and replies, “Of course not. If that is what you want.”
He waits, sitting on his living room couch, phone pressed painfully against his ear, his other hand gripping his knees till his knuckles blanched. He could feel his own heart rattling behind his ribs, pulse rockingloudly. His mind was an echo of alarm, demanding of him: Why isn't Shane saying anything?
It was the loudest silence he’s ever lived through, until Shane finally said, “Okay.”
OR: inspired by the fight in TLG where Ilya tells Shane he can sleep with other men. But this time, Shane actually takes the offer.

The first time Damian had endured solitary confinement, he’d been three years old. It was not, unfortunately, the last time his mother and grandfather had deemed that particular hell necessary for Damian to experience.
He prefers to believe that he has mastered the ability to undergo isolation.
That belief is challenged as soon as Grayson orders him to go to his room.
Or, Damian gets sent to his room after disobeying a direct order on patrol and it kind of, sort of, maybe triggers some anxiety and insecurities.

“Don’t think I will,” he responds mildly, and Ellie exhales a snort like an angry bull, wiggling again.
With a sound of exasperation, Joel lets her go before he drops her, and he’s too slow to catch her before she ducks under the table out of reach and starts shoving at Tommy’s legs. He plants his feet in response, and the only warning for what’s coming next is a frustrated growl before the leg of his jeans is yanked up and sharp little teeth sink in above his ankle.
“Ow!” He exclaims, more surprised than hurt, even though she certainly wasn’t holding back. Sarah was never really a biter, so he hadn’t seen that move coming.
Apparently this one, however, has no qualms against being a fucking piranha.

Summary
When she first met him, she’d assumed Clark Kent–solid, Midwestern, unassuming, non-demanding–would favor a beer and maybe a shot on the side if everyone else was partaking. She could peg him as maybe having a craft beer if he was feeling adventurous or a whiskey sour if he was really feeling like something on ice or just wanted to seem interesting in a group setting, but she hadn’t expected anything out of the norm.
The first time they’re at a bar for an unofficial team happy hour on a Friday night and he orders an honest-to-God Shirley Temple, then, she’s thrown.
“No one drove here,” she offers. “You don’t have to DD.”
Clark shrugs, looking mildly bashful the way he usually does when anyone’s attention is focused solely on him when he wasn’t expecting it.
“I’m not really a drinker,” he says, almost apologetically, even as he accepts his drink from the bartender, the glass looking almost comically dainty in his hands, which just adds to the comedy.
Lois, though, just shrugs. Everyone needs a quirk, after all, and there are worse ones to have than not drinking.
