Summary
Ted invites Roy to spend the summer in Kansas like it’s a dare he’s half-smiling through.
It’s framed as a test of endurance: heat that sticks to your skin, towns where the loudest thing at night is cicadas, days that stretch on forever.
Roy says yes because he has nothing else to do.
At first, it really is just that. Friendly jabs. Roy scoffing at the humidity, Ted taking a perverse pride in the way the sun beats down like it’s personal. Ninety-eight degrees in the shade, sweat soaking through Roy’s shirts, Ted handing him a glass of sweet tea like it’s holy water. Roy complains constantly. Ted laughs constantly. It feels familiar. Safe. Like the sort of thing you do when you’re pretending you’re not missing someone already.
Somewhere between the heat and the quiet, between shared beers and unguarded laughter, the challenge stops being about Kansas. It stops being about who can endure the summer. It becomes about how close they can stand without acknowledging it. About how often their shoulders brush. About how long a look lasts before one of them looks away.

Summary
In a trilogy segment, we get to experience Ted and Roy’s wedding journey. From puppies (or a puppy, I should say) to rings to proposals to weddings and to honeymoons, it is a whirlwind of emotions as Ted and Roy take the next step in life together.
The first part is Proposals, Puppies, and Paris. This is when Roy realizes “yeah, I’m gonna marry this man if it’s the last thing I do. Thank you universe for sending a puppy as a sign to do this.” With a lot, and boy is it a lot, of help, he proposes to Ted.
The second part is Paws, Planners, Panic, and Promises. This is the nitty gritty of their wedding planning. Neither can believe they’re engaged, they enjoy the engagement bliss, and somehow plan a whole wedding together.
The third part will be called Pawsports, Paradise, Passion, and Permanence. I have not done it yet, but this will be Roy and Ted’s two month long honeymoon as a newly married couple. This one will most likely be spicier than the rest, but the same amount of dramatic as they enjoy their vacation together.

Summary
Welcome to the Idontcare552 Kinktober 2025 challenge. This is my first time doing Kinktober and I wanted to do it with my favorite pairing, Ted Lasso x Roy Kent. Some of the days I only do one prompt, others I do two or three prompts. Some of the days I replaced with prompts in the bonus prompt area because I didn’t know how I would write them within the three prompts listed for that specific day. This tested my boundaries but I thoroughly enjoyed it so I hope you guys do, too.
