Summary
Techno's eyes portrayed something strangely familiar.
He wasn’t looking at him in malice. He did not point at Tommy and laugh, unlike how some of the other hunters had. Barely able to contain their anticipation at the sight of the ticking clock and Tommy’s collection of wrong answers.
No, Techno’s eyes refused to leave his own. Ember red carving molded shapes of themselves into petrified blue, and Tommy could finally place where he’d seen that look before.
It hung off of every street kid in The Pit. Dripped from drugged faces in dingy alleyways at night. He’d seen that look on his very own face, in the harsher of winters or when the lottery grain inevitably ran dry.
Techno’s eyes read that of raw want.
And they were currently fixated on Tommy.
OR:
An altered AU of the hunger games, in which the all powerful Empire hosts the annual Hunt.
An event where teen nobles chase down the unfortunate participants to either claim or sadistically kill.
When Tommy volunteers in place of his best friend, he’s determined to not die off without a fight.
But what happens when his rebellious attitude accidentally catches the attention of a particularly powerful family.

Summary
Uncle Phil stands in front of Tommy with an awkward smile plastered to his face. His hair is longer than Tommy remembers, pulled back in a short ponytail. There is several days worth of stubble covering his chin, and his eyes look tired. Not the sort of tired that someone acquires from days without sleep, but a deeper tiredness. A weariness of the soul.
Phil is wearing green scrubs as if he'd come to pick up Tommy directly after work. He drops Tommy's luggage down at his side before taking a good look at the boy.
Phil looks Tommy up and down like adults often do when they haven't seen a kid for years. His uncle recycles the same cheesy line everyone uses, “Wow, you've gotten so big, Toms. You're almost as tall as me.”
The old nickname sounds strange coming out of his uncle's mouth. The name belongs to a different time, a different decade. Using it now just feels… contrived.
OR
Tommy is sent to live with his relatives over summer break while his mom goes through rehab.

“Who are you?” Techno asked. The boy straightened.
Instead of answering, he shot a question back. “Who are you?”
“Crown Princes Wilbur and Techno, heirs to the throne,” Wilbur answered. Techno watched as the boy’s facade fell, a confused and sad expression falling over his face as the words settled in. “And I think we deserve to know who’s claiming our palace as their own.”
“You– you’re, no– what?” The boy stumbled back a step, bringing his hands up to his chest to cradle them close. “Did they not tell you about me?” the boy asked, blue eyes glimmering in the light, crystalline tears beginning to gather around his lashes. “I’m Theseus.”
Or, Tommy is the forgotten royal bastard. He's spent his whole life wishing that his family will take him home. It just so happens that his cousins are visiting for the summer, and they have no idea who he is. He can only hope that he'll be remembered and be loved the way he deserves.

Summary
Three years ago, Tommy was found face down next to a river in some incredibly tattered clothes with no memory of who he was or how he got there.
All he knew was that his name was Tommy, and that he was awesome; all he needed, really.
Two years ago, he found out he had the awesome yet horrific and mildly evil ability to force people to do whatever he wanted.
Tubbo made him promise not to use it, which he took to mean not using it on him and agreed to.
Now, in the present, Tommy was staring down some weirdo in a gross coat that had an impossibly tight grip on his arm and this shell-shocked expression on his face.
It got even weirder when he found out his Voice did absolutely nothing to him.

Tommy is an amnesiac that lives with his friend on a farm, and his (mostly) normal life is thrown completely off track by the appearance of three oddly familiar people who he's just barely convinced aren't insane.

Summary
Phil had had a certain image in his head when the police had knocked on his door informing him that a shapeshifter had been caught living as a dog in the local park and that said shapeshifter had recently used Phil's 14-year-old son's visage for purposes unknown. Yet, upon going to confront this shapeshift, instead of what he'd expected, he found a terrified 7-year-old racoon hybrid. When Phil was told they were struggling to find someone to foster him after all of the stunts he'd pulled, there was really only one thing Phil could do.
Tommy is not particularly enthused to be fostered by the man whose son's face he'd stolen. Foster families were bad enough without already having a reason to hate him and without a lock on his powers. There was no kind reason Phil would want him in his custody. He just needs to figure out what type of bad it will be.
(Yes, I'm writing a story with the same basic premise once again. Yes, I am doing so in a genre that is oversaturated on this site. No, I will not apologize.)

Sayeon Lee chokes on her aberrancy every day of her life.
Even before she knows what her essence looks like, she's still quite visibly an aberrant- after all, only an aberrant could survive Rapture harvesting. Only an aberrant could survive the kind of stress that leaches all color from their bodies.
Only an aberrant could be known as "the weakness of the Sea Wolves." Given that such comments are usually made in reference to her ghostly appearance, she can only imagine that she's living evidence of their failure, not least because she refuses to be anybody's weakest link.

Tommy leaned back in the hard plastic chair that dug into his back. What they were asking of him was ridiculous, insane. Tommy may not be the most there in the head but even he knew how stupid this plan was.
Notus, or Philza, sighed. “All you have to do is tell us where Hex is.”
Tommy shifted and the cuffs around his wrists clinked against the cold metal table. “How would you suppose I do that? I'm currently locked in the world's largest and most high-tech prison ya know.”
“Use your powers Coeus, I know you must be itching to use them after years of not indulging.” Kratos drawled.
The power suppressor weighed heavily around his ankle digging into his skin reminding Tommy of its existence.

Tommy is a criminal that has been locked away for years for a crime he does not regret committing. He quite enjoyed the prison life, it was better than being on the street starving and getting into fights every day. Around the anniversary of his trial, a set of heroes showed up asking impossible things from him trying to dig up a life he had long left buried. Why would he get involved with the drama of heroes and villains again if he was locked within walls they could never dream of touching?

Through the brutality and the loss, he kept his head down and did everything he had to do to just survive. He thought he knew everything he needed to know about the world. The sun rises in the East and sets in the West. The sky is blue, grass is green.
Distraction is weakness. Weakness is death.
But he’s slowly learning that, maybe, there’s more to life than just making it to the next day...

Summary
Tommy sighs, staring up at alien ceilings, breathing in alien air, probably and unfortunately digesting alien blood. He guesses he’s never breaking that two year Foster house streak. She probably thinks he ran away. He thinks what pisses him off the most. These aliens made him look like he couldn’t handle a measly fucking argument about curfew and ran away. He’s so pissed he could die.
Tommy stares at the unfamiliar planet, millions of miles away behind a glass pane, and still closer to him than home is.
Die.
Huh. With a quick heartbeat, and an impending sense of doom, he thinks: He just might.
Or, Aliens are assholes, and turns out, some of them are even human traffickers. Tommy learns soon enough that he values freedom more than trying to figure out what the fuck had to go wrong in his life to lead to him getting lost in outer-space.
Even more, Tommy learns right thereafter, that he loves Earth a little more than he originally thought.

“Please” Tommy finds himself whispering to the stars looking down on him, “not like this….” he continues, eyes scrunching as more tears stream down his face. “I wanted to make it to eighteen” he sobs lifting an arm, trying to reach for the stars despite how impossible it is, “wanted to have a family.”
“I just want a second chance.”

At age 17 Tommy's life came to an end or at least that's what he thought. Instead he wakes up as Theseus, the newest third prince who soon becomes neglected after the queen's passing. Tommy of course isn't going to take this laying down, he was able to escape the foster system so he can escape this place.
Though perhaps he could try and glue this family back together again.

“Are they usually this affectionate?” Phil had started petting the human with both hands, cane set on the floor to the side.
“He was separated from his mother too early. Poaching is a big problem when it comes to humans, either for unethical testing or zoos.”
“We thought about rehabilitation and release, but he’s been raised in captivity,” Sam added, leaning against the wall. “He just wouldn’t survive.”
“He was violent at first, understandably, but he’s since calmed down. As far as I’m aware though, this is the most tender he’s been since we picked him up. Maybe he can tell… Well…” Puffy flushed, looking away.

Summary
What they didn't tell you about being a vampire, were the long bouts of depression. Techno had said that eventually you grew numb to the war and famine, to the death and pestilence.
It didn't feel like it was getting easier though. Tommy had long abandoned the family nest to lay vacantly on his bed in his own room staring at the ceiling. He'd have the same 5 songs on repeat.
Phil and Techno were obviously worried, but for all of the wrong reasons. They fretted that he was becoming ill again, but Tommy assured him he wasn't.
He was just tired.

Which led him to where he was now. Sat in the back of a car with some lady driving him somewhere, and with a police officer watching him like a hawk.
