Summary
Poe gave up a lot of things when he defected to the Resistance, but there's always more to lose. War is an expensive lifestyle. You've got to keep your affairs in order and do the best you can with what you have. He owes this former Stormtrooper a life-debt, and beyond that he knows the kid's exceptional, so he's going to do everything he can to get the kid a fair start in this messy business.
Finn wakes up and has no idea what to do beyond joining the Resistance, but he knows he’s got to keep up with Poe somehow.BB-8 really just thinks the two of them should go ahead and do that thing that biological organisms seem to spend so much time thinking about where they rub themselves on each other, already, because clearly that needs to happen.
STORY IS COMPLETE, sequel to follow. Warning: The story ends with a romantic subplot unresolved, just a plot arc complete. The romantic subplot is slated to resolve, but does not within this story. I don't want to promise a HEA that I don't deliver on right away!

Really really good characterization that I need to read when I’m coherent enough to actually pay attention. This is a fic I wand to pay attention to!! It’s one of those you want to read carefully, puzzle it around in your brain for a bit to get all the flavor out of it. Really loving it so far <3 a bit much when your stoned on pain meds tho lol. Something to look forward to.

This has of course, has already happened time and time again.
But it all starts with a story that the people of the world all knew. It was a of the soldier, the poet, the king and the successor. Every child, woman and man had grown with the story that felt more legend than truth with the lingering passage of time.
It all started as truth and ends as a wise tale that flows from the lips of parents to children. It turns to the legend on wine soaked lips and whispers in forest from nymphs to fae to dragons to men once again.
Before all that was the adventure.
And it starts with a hero larger than life and a boy with a kind heart.

Don't worry if you've never played The Minish Cap, the fic tells you everything you need to know.
Aka the author wanted a Minish Cap AU, but apparently the game isn’t as popular as Twilight Princess or Majora’s Mask and nobody was even hinting at it in their fics, so she had to write it herself.
