Summary
OK this series has been going on for 2 years now and I should summarize it better.
The first part is several decades of, largely, Geralt and Jaskier's interactions, as they both fumble together toward some kind of meaningful understanding. That section largely concludes with a Jaskier/Geralt/Yennefer endgame.Then there's a time jump, and the series picks up after the events of the Witcher 3 games. I follow Lambert as he copes with grief, and Keira as she learns new things about herself, and the lives they make.
I decided to tell the story of how Ciri became Empress after W3, which intersects with Keira and Lambert's adventures; I read the books somewhere in this and got invested in some of the themes they brought up. And entangled with this, I got interested in the politics of the North, especially the Upper Aedirn Free State and the threads laid down in the Witcher 2 game that didn't exactly get resolved in Witcher 3, and so I have several stories dealing with that thread, which will intersect with the other stories in the same timeline.

Homecoming AU.
Ben and May divorced before Peter’s parents died, so when Ben is murdered Peter goes into foster care. It takes just a tiny taste of superpowers for Peter to decide he doesn’t want to put up with his horrible foster father anymore—the streets are infinitely more appealing. All he wants is to be Spider-Man anyway.
So he leaves.
Simple.
Simple, that is, until Iron Man needs Spider-Man’s help. Peter isn’t about to turn down an opportunity to fight alongside Tony Freaking Stark, but he also isn’t going to let his hero know that his recruit is a fifteen-year-old homeless dropout. So they strike a deal. Peter will help Tony. In return, the mask stays on.

Joe doesn't say anything, because he can't think of anything that wouldn't make his heart pound faster than it already is. Nicky side eyes him for a moment, because of course he can tell, but he's been working on politeness recently, so he doesn't ask why. He just gently turns his own hand over and laces his fingers through Joe's. He squeezes gently, and yeah, Joe knows better than anyone that Nicky doesn't have the ability to feel things. He's been inside his head as literally as is possible, has repaired him, has seen his circuitry and its beautiful, unprecedented intricacy. He knows exactly what it's capable of, what Nicky is, and what he isn't.
Still, the entire point of what they do is to discover the unknown. Maybe Joe doesn't know the why of it, hasn't figured out the how, but the way Nicky cares about things, about doing and being good, about the work they do, about his friends, about Joe- if it isn't empathy, pure and sweet, Joe doesn't know what else it could possibly be.
Or: Nicky is an android, Joe is an engineer, they are in love, and this is the Star Trek AU that nobody asked for.

Jaskier doesn’t actually know how much time has passed since the black-cloaked Nilfgaardians grab him after a performance in a shitty tavern in the backcountry of northern Kaedwen. He’d assumed--foolishly, apparently--that he was far enough north that any Nilfgaardian soldiers would be few and far between, likely just scouts or even deserters. It would have been hard to actually get any further north--the little backwater town where he’d been singing was just a day from the mountains. Anymore travel, and he’d find himself skirting the Trail up to Kaer Morhen, the Warlord’s Keep, and, well. He’s brazen, but not that brazen.
(or: a wandering bard bites off more than he can chew with the political ballads, accidentally makes friends with a princess in exile, and finds the Warlord of the North in his debt.)
