Jack hummed, as his attention drifted back to the little gaggle of amateur ballroom dancers and their instructor. A warm smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he watched Robby coach, a little adjustment here, some gentle encouragement there, a prod to a certain intern’s sense of pride and competition to keep up momentum every now and then. Just Robby in his element, teaching, laughing, unburdened for one fleeting moment.
A quiet laugh beside him drew his attention away from the scene.
“So this is what Jack Abbot looks like when he’s in love?” Dana drawled, nudging Jack’s arm teasingly when he turned back to look at her. “I’ve always wondered.”
“You’re not going to get as good a reaction out of me as you do Robby, you know?” he retorted, smirking gamely back at her.
(Or, Whitaker needs to learn how to waltz, Robby has a particular set of skills, and Dana and Jack have a heart to heart)

Sure, they've saved the world, but the best part of that really is that it doesn't end there and in a town where everyone thinks he murdered a girl, he's at least got Steve Harrington and Robin Buckley. It's really not his fault he accidentally starts living at Steve's house, he was invited, after all. There's a mystery too, about Barbara Holland and Steve's pool.
“Your boner is digging into me,” says Robin, and Steve snorts a tired sort of laugh.
“I don’t have a —”
“You do, I can feel it. Gross.”
“Okay, but it’s only a little one,” he says in a small voice which sounds like he’s impersonating someone.
“Are you ever going to let that go? I peed a little bit when the Russians got the torture devices out, okay?” She sounds amused, though.
Eddie jolts. “Russian torture devices?”
Robin carries on like she didn’t hear him but Steve catches his eye and he’s grinning. “How do you even have a boner dude? You were definitely having a nightmare I know your twitching means a nightmare… Did you have a boner over Vecna?”

Summary
Bond isn't sure what to think of the new Quartermaster, of the high tech gear and the way the man is always in his ear thanks to mandatory ear pieces for all agents. The old Q hadn't required those things after all, and everything had worked fine.
But Bond is a risk now, after Vesper, seeming to kill without noticing, without caring, and there are quiet rumors that he wont seduce his targets anymore, and that his drinking is out of control, so Q is told to keep a sharp eye on him and his mental health.
Bond is irritated with the constant presence of Q, but somehow their traded insults turn into teasing jabs, and then genuine affection, and eventually they move from talking via earpiece on missions to texting every day, with messages growing more and more explicit as time goes on.
But Q is nothing less than professional whenever Bond is around, and the agent has a hard time reconciling the aloof Quartermaster with the teasing devil that has him bringing himself off desperately at night to the naughty texts.
Q is a man connected to his tech, and Bond is a man living in the field, and the only way to be together is offline somewhere.
