Two days after their kidnapping on the night of the full moon, Arthur surprised Merlin by asking him to eat breakfast with him. Arthur did this because he was an extremely kind prince, no matter what Merlin might say about him being a prat, and also because he was very nervous and maybe not quite over the fear of losing the only man he could, without hesitation, call a friend. Still, Arthur had been trained since birth to do many things, and faking confidence was one of them.
So, it was with great fake-confidence that he said. “So, when are we going to Ealdor to meet your imaginary friend?”

After spending weeks unbearably hungry, Merlin confessed that Gaius’s blood-like potions aren’t curbing his newfound appetite. So, Arthur offered an interesting solution to his problem. The warlock isn’t into the idea at first, but he may grow to relish his lover’s trust.

Summary
As Uther’s son, Arthur is expected to lead in the crusade against magic. His first interrogation is Merlin, the cheeky druid who quickly shows Arthur that he isn’t cut out for his father’s method of interrogation - torture. After Merlin forces a kiss on Arthur in an attempt to make him mad, Arthur decides to try a different interrogation method with him, quickly leading to a sexually frustrated Merlin. This results in Arthur completely forgetting to actually do his job and Merlin finding his captor more accommodating than he'd thought possible.
As his games with Merlin escalate, Arthur has to decide whether to give in to his father’s expectations or accept what his heart is telling him.
Note on rape/non-con elements: There is non-consensual touching to tease Merlin until he eventually says yes to sex, hence the sexual coercion tag. There is no explicit or violent rape, but the circumstances are still problematic with the touching and coercion so I tagged it.

Maybe then the image of Merlin's golden eyes will stop haunting him.
Merlin opened his mouth. A noise unlike any sound Arthur had ever heard escaped from it. Loud and rumbling and guttural, inhuman, and in no way, shape, or form could actually be coming from his manservant.
But it was. And Merlin was speaking.
"O drakon, e male so ftengometta tesd'hup'anankes! Erkheo!"
For a minute, there was complete silence—a silence in which Arthur just stared from behind a tree in an incomprehensive daze.
But then there was a sound. Both loud and forceful and... familiar.
