Summary
Fire had fascinated Aeris Gainsborough all her life; it was part of her, part of who she was and how she lived. Her obsession and maybe also a curse. Her earliest memories of it were uncomfortable reminders of her captivity and the ever present menace of Hojo.
Each Cetra has a specific type of magic unique to them; Aeris's is fire.

Summary
The Maiden was pure – and in remaining pure could engineer a victory over the forces of darkness. A noble victory at the cost of her own life. But did the opposite hold true? Was it possible to use the novel’s themes in a perverse manner, make the text an inverted guide to corruption instead of purity? How not to wind up like the Maiden. If her power rested on purity, Aeris would give into corruption.

A really good story that I feel knows Aeris' character better than the FFVII compilation did.

Summary
"Isn't it remarkable, Aeris?" The voice was gentle, warm but tinged with sadness. "This world is full of so many possibilities. Each living thing has an entirely unique experience. The sights they see. The sounds they hear. The lives they live... are so complicated. And so simple. I can't wait for you to join them." Another rattle and the image whirled now pointed in the opposite direction. A women with long, brown hair and a red dress stared out of the screen. "Aeris; we can't both exist. I'm going to become half of you. And I need you to know that every moment you love being yourself; that's me loving you and loving being you. Because you're going to be something extraordinary. You're going to be a human being. Take care of them, Aeris." The woman smiled and the rattling came again as the view skewed and then vanished into static.
As they traveled the Planet, dancing brought them closer.

Summary
After his defeat in the Northern Cave, Sephiroth establishes himself in the Lifestream. Searching for memories to base his avatars on, he comes across the perfect candidates.
A very very dark fic. If you like misery overdose, this is the one for you. Not explicit though; the reason I rated this Mature is simply because of the sheer Four Horseman levels here. It's dark. More positive endgame. Apart from the beginning and the end, it's written from the first person, for what it's worth. World-building which combines old-style nineties RPGs feels with social realism. I guess the product is something close to character-based action adventure? Anyway, hope people enjoy.
On hiatus at the moment, but I completely intend to return to this at some point. I'll polish and upload the several tens of thousand of words on this at some, I'm sure.

Summary
The Black Mage whispered angrily in the doorway of her chambers; "Jenova is moving again, and we have few defences against her virus. We need to take action."
"We are taking action," the White Mage countered. "We have defensive perimeters just outside of the region she currently inhabits."
"And what of the virus? Are we certain that your magicks can guard against another vector we have not yet seen?" He gazed at her sceptically.
Two thousand years before the events of Final Fantasy VII, the Cetra are in conflict with Jenova.

Summary
The knowledge imparted to Aeris by the Planet was still new and curious. It was effortless in an incongruous way compared to how she learnt everything before. A strange alien feeling applied to all information the Planet had provided so far. At present it was not speaking to her per se, rather it was somehow adding to her memories and her skill-sets as she walked North.
The Planet has altered her mind.

Summary
As Aeris reached the edge of the forest she again felt a frustrating itch inside her skull. And just like that she knew more than she had a moment before. It would be unwise to take metal any further; the Cetra had little time for the material and its presence might disrupt her task.
Aeris reaches the end of the Sleeping Forest.

Summary
It took an hour of shivering before Ifalna called out.
"Gast?"
"Yes?" He shouted back his voice trembling, his teeth chattering.
"Do you... Do you want to sleep with me. I mean," she broke off in a panic. "Do you want to sleep beside me and we can keep each other warm?"
Moments of sleeplessness for Ifalna, Aeris, Tifa and Cloud.

Summary
At least it remained - a single tree still clinging to life, though how much much longer could it endure without assistance? Still odd; somehow out of place- The shade shook her head. Rather the building around it did not look right. A smile and a memory; the tree fit the dim half-destroyed monument to the Shinra company better than it had when this place was clean and bright. More memories, thousands of moments coalescing.
