Summary
Enny lived the last 10 years in the valley. She farmed, fished, and mined all while building a community with the valley and a family. She loved her life. On one fateful trip to the desert caves, she finds herself trapped and face to face with a formidable foe. Enny is desperate to survive and return to her family, but she can't overpower the creature. As she lies dying on the cavern floor, she takes her last breath thinking of Sebastian and their daughter Izzy.
Except, she doesn't die. Instead, Enny transports back to the bus bound for the valley. But she quickly finds it isn't the valley she knows. She is younger, a stranger to the villagers, and a scar rips itself through her farm, replacing the once lush trees with salty winds and course beaches. Lost and alone, Enny's only goal is to return home. She clings to the hope of finding her way back to her world. Desperation tears at Enny's soul, forcing her to do whatever it takes to return. She commits her life to finding the beast responsible and slaughtering any monster that gets in her way.
But the ends don't always justify the means.

“What exactly is that?” Harvey asked suspiciously as Demetrius pulled out a large mason jar of… some incredibly pink paste. It had small flecks of… brown and green in it, but it was disturbingly pink.
“I’ve visited that new farmer early today to set up his cave for mushroom production, and since I was already there, I grabbed the chance to have a little trade… It’s mostly bug meat with some cave carrots and green algae mixed in. I sent it through the food processor a few times to get it as smooth as possible.”
Harvey wasn’t so hungry anymore.
