'It's been so long since I've had a friend, we can play together!' In contrast to the cheerful tone of voice, his sense of dread had grown stronger. He didn't even notice that time had resumed its course, and moved away from Arthur to take a few steps out of the ruins.
"What's wrong with you, Merlin?" Arthur looks at him with a frown, trying to understand his servant's reaction.
But Merlin didn't hear him. In place of Arthur's face and his normally blue eyes. There was nothing, just black holes that seemed never to end and a mouth that looked like a smile, jaw dropping as if there were no muscle or bone underneath.
'Don't worry, it's already too late, running away won't do any good.'

Arthur found that he didn’t just like Merlin for his skills as a personal trainer, but he was starting to have those butterfly-in-stomach kinds of feelings about Merlin. Said feelings were inappropriate for three reasons: 1. As Arthur’s personal trainer sometimes Merlin’s job entailed very intimate positions and during those times Arthur’s thoughts were not appropriate for a professional environment, 2. Merlin would probably lose his job if he dated a client, and 3. Merlin was dating someone else.

Welcome to Merlin Kinktober, 2025! All fics are written and will be posted each day until the 31st. Fics average at 1.8k words, the total length is currently 57k, barring edits and additional content additions.
The vast majority of these will be bottom!Merlin/top!Arthur with the occasional switch-up. The knights are mixed in as well with a smattering of Generic Villainᵗᵐ and the tiniest splash of Guinivere.
These fics range from soft and fluffy to straight up rape. Many are on the line of dubcon, but only the unquestionably rape ones are going to be called out as explicit warnings in the description and prompt list. "Really?" Arthur asked, brushing the dirt off of him as he glowered at the man. "Again? I had it under control - and we aren't allies!" He added heatedly. Balinor shrugged, looking nonplussed by Arthur's anger as he stroked the dragon's wing.
"I know." Balinor said simply. "But I promised my son I wouldn't let you die."
"Your...You have a son?" Arthur demanded. Again, Balinor shrugged. "Why does your son...? Nevermind. Don't save me again!" He snapped, pointing a finger at the man. He turned to stalk back to the horse only for a column of fire to blow past him. The prince jumped. He spun around to tell the man off again but immediately noticed one of the remaining bandits who had been slowly creeping towards him burnt to a crisp. He looked back at Balinor.

Arthur watched, unable to fully comprehend the events that had seemingly just crashed and burned in front of him rather than calmly unfold. He turned to look at the other knights who only shrugged as Mordred sank lower into his seat, lips pressed into a pout as he picked at his food.
“I…” He started and paused, taking a moment to gather his thoughts “Why do you want Merlin to like you so badly?” He finally sighed. Mordred stopped playing with his food, glancing up before looking at the door the servant in question had exited through
“Because he’s Merlin.” He said as if that provided any sort of answer.
Arthur didn’t deserve this. He did his best to be a good person. Maybe this was some kind of divine intervention saying he needed to up his charity game. He needed to give the lower town a bigger tax break or something. Perhaps ride out and save three more damsels than usual.
"He has a point," Gwaine piped up as he inhaled another mead "He is Merlin."

“Mordred, right?” Arthur asked, kneeling in front of him. The boy nodded, eyes wide as he looked at Arthur as if he might bolt at any moment. “What are you doing back in Camelot? My father won’t like seeing you again.”
“He’s hurt.” Mordred whispered and Arthur glanced over at where Merlin was unconscious. A sudden realization dawned on him.
“You healed him,” He said slowly “With magic.”
Mordred nodded. Arthur’s mind raced – thinking of all Merlin had survived in his encounters with bandits and sorcerers. Before he could ask if Mordred had been responsible for all of it, there was a groan as Merlin shifted, eyes flickering open.
“Arth – you!” He choked, sitting up quickly to grab Arthur’s arm as if he could yank the prince away. Mordred grinned.
“You’re awake!” He beamed and launched forward to hug him. Arthur watched as Merlin stiffened at the action – eyes widening before desperately trying to push him away.
“Arthur. Arthur, get him off of me-”
