Summary
Ray Stantz just wanted to tune in for a normal (as normal as that show got anyways) episode of Mystical Tales of the Unknown Universe. He did not expect to suddenly be faced with an update on how his estranged friend's grandchild (which he did NOT know about) planned to take on the ancient god he didn't believe was coming back.
Basically, they never get arrested after destroying their town, therefore never call Ray, go to the mountains directly after catching their first ghost, and Phoebe learns the finer details from a journal or something. :)
At some point, they find time to record an episode of Ray Stantz' favorite podcast.

Summary
After being split up in a mansion despite Trevor telling them it's a horrible Idea. Trevor is faced with all his fears before being offered a reprieve from them. That release turns out to be a trap where he gets possessed. Unfortunately, the ghost grows fond of Trevor and wants to use him as a Prophet and decides to keep him alive and kill the Spengler family plus Lucky and Podcast. Which gives Trevor the determination to fight them, but nothing good comes without a sacrifice.
