A second after the prophecy is delivered, the sky clears and the fires are extinguished all at once. The Titan’s jaw closes with a thud.
“Good luck, little hero!” Foolish-the-disembodied-voice says in his usual voice, cheery and full of life.
Etoiles feels so dizzy. “Not a hero,” he protests as he sits up straight, leaning back onto his haunches. “Just a guy doing good things for people.”
Etoiles, the not-hero, gets targeted by a not-so-happy god. There is joy that comes of it (as there is sadness), but most importantly: there are three stupidly absurd trials.

Summary
Antoine likes his friends. It hits him, like those moments often do, in the middle of nothing, as they're preparing to do the entrance shot. Baghera keeps tripping on the uneven stairs, glaring at Etoiles who does nothing but mock her misery. Aypierre is to the side, fixing up the camera, and he thinks 'Yes, this is it. I have a place here.'
The concept of place still feels a little foreign, even after 2 years of trying to be human. (Humans are amazing, the way they all stay in one place at a time and do not feel any pain. It fills him with something close to jealousy: the space constantly pulls at him, begging him to expand quick quick quick-) He's glad he thought of a cardboard box to cover his head: no amount of frantic googling 'how many teeth normal human' would have saved his skin.
Or: You know that one trope of Ghost Hunters except one of them is a demon chasing the dangerous ones away? Well take that but make it the French, their ghost daughter Pomme and their totally normal human friend Antoine. (And maybe add missing kids, government conspiracies, the fact that all of them have secrets they won't tell and the worst of all: emotions.)

sometimes u start writin a fic and ur like 'yeah !! this will be chill and easy and comprehensible..' and then u look at canon and u write a bunch based off of that . and then its two months later and u look at canon again . and u go '.. well . oh goodness . oh no .'
so with this ^in mind , i will try to stay as true as i can to peoples backstories , federation business , etc ! at the end of the day i am trying to make lore for a developing source material , so stuff here may end up being different/contradicting actual canon ! please proceed with that in mind[EDIT as of 15/05/24 : source material is no longer developing i guess , so i might try and tie up some stuff my own way ._. ]

What happens when the three remaining Bolas members and two of their children are tasked to hunt the new sinners? How might that conversation with Bad have gone if Phil believed him that the other eggs had survived? Who might have been the one to kill Bad in her anger?
When the bonds of Bolas extend long after Purgatory is over and the attack bird of the Observer flies the cage with his fledglings in tow.

It makes no sense. Etoiles remembers being guided out of the hole he trapped himself and Richarlyson in, the rush of the timer ticking down, the blinding taste of sweetness sour on his tongue, and, even though he’s safe thanks to Phil and Fit strong-arming him into the boat as the explosion sent crashing waves against his back, Etoiles remembers Richas.
He can’t sit still. The sea stretches in every direction around the ship, and nobody has any spare wood for him to make a boat to adventure on his own, and he has no energy left to do so. He can’t sleep. He can’t do anything.
So he does the next best thing and lets his legs carry him to the void.
