strangely dark's summer vacation started a few days ago (and he barely noticed, seeing as he keeps putting on his school uniform every morning) but he's not having fun.
because his grades were below his parents' expectations, they won't take him to the zoo.one evening after handing over a particularly scary nightmare to a certain baku, he was given a wish in return.
he didn't want to waste it right away and decide to hold onto it for when he knows what he wants: today.who cares about what adults say, anyway?
on the other hand the baku wasn't expecting to be dragged to the human world in daytime. it's an unusual wish, but he can't (and would never) refuse.
despite looking 14, trickster is hundreds years old, so he can chaperone the depressed human boy to the zoo.★
strangely dark gets rained on, some hugs and hand holding, and probably scolded by his parents.

the Project Diva tag really likes mischaracterizing modules and not caring that there is actual canon to the game.
i thought: if the authors on either side care so much, how do the characters feel? in this fic, a mysterious interviewer goes to monochrome world to visit the baku.i'm currently reading multiple plays (or should be, i'm focusing on various school things rn) at the same time for English class (Shakespeare, Marlowe, etc.) and the format really interested me. i wanted to try using it to write something too, especially since the PV's style looks like a stageplay. this is what high school AP literature does to people.
not beta read, there may be grammar/spelling issue etc., but the fic itself has proper punctuation and capitalization.

Maybe it had been from you hitting your head against the metallic floor that had done it, but one thing was clear, you had hit your head pretty hard.
Everything had been a blur but you swore you vaguely recalled a few blurry faces, a few songs that you could barely make out, something about prisms and clouds, and insisting that you felt fine. Up until you finally collapsed onto someone.
You eventually find yourself awakening in a dark room with no memories of your previous life and how you even got here, save for your name, to the sound of someone singing a soft tune.
But even if you may never regain your memories, perhaps you might be able to find a new home in a place like this?
