Summary
It's been nearly a few months since they both appeared in this new world. They have no idea on what happened but both former sprites are now on a very different Earth with very different but mostly familiar bodies, for two things Hal now has a body of his own somewhat and Davesprite is still part bird.
This new world is very different and strange to both, its set in the future and one important detail that shocked both was that in this world: Dave Strider, little brother to famous twins David 'D' Strider and Dereck 'Bro' Strider and a twin himself to Dirk Strider, died at the age of 12, 4 years ago. Now how does this fare for Davesprite now dubbed 'Qrow Davis' who looks almost exactly like the deceased Strider with him being the alternate version of said deceased Strider?
It was bad enough with monsters and enemies from the game popping up every once and a while, not to mention their unwilling and accidental involvement with the dark underworld. They've done their best avoiding anything that might cause them problems but one single mistake from Qrow has the ex-players and involvements from the game chasing after him. Especially the family of Striders who are convinced that he is their Dave.

The Strider family had always had a major history of depression, Dirk happened to start a new page in that book by suffering 8 long years of Anorexia Nervosa. Dave picks up the 'diet' from his brother but turns out WAY worse than Dirk, developing Bulimia Nervosa. On the other hand John knows EXACTLY what is going on with Dave but wont tell Dirk or the twins brothers. Karkat is just as depressed and going through an abusive relationship which drives him crazy. Jake's a crazy asshole that uses Dave at his most vulnerable point to fuel his sex addiction. Roxy cant stop drinking so Rose sends her to rehab. Bro's a heroin addict and D cant kick his horrible drinking habits. John's got his own addictions that he's hiding from everyone and Dave cant stop cutting.

Derrick Strider was 17 when he was rescued by a murderous angel. He was 18 when his nephews were born and he was 20 when they were kidnapped and killed. Years later, he finds his murderous angel raising his nephews and as a cannibalistic freelance hitman assassin.
That should not be hot but it is.Dirk and Dave Sprite were twins, they knew that mom/dad wasn't actually their parent, it was obvious from the wings that they had but they didn't care. They loved them and would do anything for them. They were 13 when their biological family found them, which was cool but uncle or not, Derrick should stay away from their parent.
Deilos Sprite was really surprised at how violent this universe was but didn't mind. They didn't expect adopting Dirk and Dave as their own pair of kittens/chicks/kids but didn't mind. Raising them as assassins and hitmen? Weird but didn't mind again. They tried to stay away from the Strilondes but they couldn't stay away forever. Was it wrong to be attracted to the alternate version of their once older brother? Maybe? Well cannibalism was wrong too but they didn't mind that.
