No one really knows what happened to the Singularity. They have the ship’s data, the crew’s logs, until the scheduled transmission point just past S0-2 — they have all the indications that the mission was going as planned, until the Singularity and its crew vanished.
No one has told the crew of the Serendipity that their mission is to hunt for their predecessors, but it’s an unspoken acknowledgment that follows them around the compound, into press conferences, under the breaths of all their technicians. They’re called a rescue team by the press, and by the other squads on base, and within themselves; it’s how Jimin thinks of himself, as he straps himself into his flight suit.
A slingshot around the galaxy lands Park Jimin face to face with his own worst fear.

The slime guy shifts the wires back into place.
Charlie remembers too much, Sneeg remembers too little, and Ranboo remembers nothing at all; but hey, that doesn't matter here at Showfall! (Or: post-canon au where no one died, but no one made it out either.)

Summary
“We’ll tell nobody. We’ll let them make their own conclusions about what happened to us.” Charlie softly reassured him as he gently worked through a particularly tangled clump of blood and some other mysterious substance stubbornly clinging to Ranboo’s hair.
“We’ll get you home, Ranboo.” Charlie swore to them, “It’s over. You don’t have to be brave anymore. It’s okay.” Ranboo hesitated, before slowly pulling away, and Charlie could only let them.
“You can’t go back either.” Ranboo called him out, and Charlie wavered, “Please.” Ranboo sounded devastated as he begged, “Please, Charlie. I can’t- I can’t lose you too…”
Charlie forced a weak smile on his face, feeling a sort of disdainful irony as he held up his pinky to the other. “I pinky swear, I won’t go back there.”
It was only when Ranboo wasn’t looking did Charlie drop the crossed fingers behind his back.
(AKA: A "What-if" where Ranboo and Charlie escape Showfall and deal with the turbulent journey that comes with recovery all while trying to keep the horrible things which happened to them a secret for the sake of their own safety.)

Summary
With the door being chained shut, there was no escape through the front. If only they had those trusty bolt cutters, then they'd be home free. Maybe if Sneeg was with them, he'd know where they were. It's a silent hope between Ranboo and Charlie that he broke free of Showfall's control and was in the mall somewhere.

Summary
He was the hero. It was his job to live. Everybody else could die. They didn’t matter in the show. They were side characters. But even knowing that Charlie was a side character, that it was his destiny to die, Ranboo couldn’t help but feel sick when he walked by the corpse of his brother.
