Summary

"Tony you shouldn't be working yourself up right now, this isn't the best time-" Sam says, trying to soothe but Tony isn't having it, he feels the snarl conquer his face.
"No? No this is the best time!" Tony screams out, voice already hoarse, vocal cords already straining, "No more explanations or 'But Tony you don't understand'." He twists violently to glare at Steve, a fist by his side and a finger pointing dangerously close to the super soldier's chest, "You, oh you arrogant piece of shit, you were going to sign the Accords!"
At that Sam pulls back, his gaze traveling to Steve and his brows furrowing, Bucky's as well.
"I told you amendments were more than possible, and, and I delivered! I told you Bucky would be transferred to an American psych ward for therapy, to get help! I offered to legalize everything you did to get Bucky, both you and Sam!" Sam takes a step back, a gruff noise escaping his throat. Steve won't look at him, he can't rip his gaze away from Tony.

Summary

That’s what started it – a comment from the bard after an exhausting hunt. Most things did tend to start by Jaskier commenting on something or other. And Geralt might not have thought much of it, if the bard’s fingers weren’t curled through his hair and warm bathwater lapped against his chin. Jaskier always tended to poke the fire when he had the Witcher on the right side of pliable.

Summary
OK this series has been going on for 2 years now and I should summarize it better.
The first part is several decades of, largely, Geralt and Jaskier's interactions, as they both fumble together toward some kind of meaningful understanding. That section largely concludes with a Jaskier/Geralt/Yennefer endgame.Then there's a time jump, and the series picks up after the events of the Witcher 3 games. I follow Lambert as he copes with grief, and Keira as she learns new things about herself, and the lives they make.
I decided to tell the story of how Ciri became Empress after W3, which intersects with Keira and Lambert's adventures; I read the books somewhere in this and got invested in some of the themes they brought up. And entangled with this, I got interested in the politics of the North, especially the Upper Aedirn Free State and the threads laid down in the Witcher 2 game that didn't exactly get resolved in Witcher 3, and so I have several stories dealing with that thread, which will intersect with the other stories in the same timeline.

Summary
Geralt can hear Jaskier talking to someone inside the tavern as he passes the window, voice loud as always and melodious enough to be picked up above the droning din and clattering noise of the rest of the crowd. Then suddenly he catches his name being said and subconsciously tunes into the conversation without really thinking about it.
"Wow," An unknown voice sighs happily. She sounds young. "It must be so nice to travel around with your best friend like that on all those adventures." It is. "Sounds wonderful."
Jaskier laughs. "Ah, no, you misunderstand- Geralt isn't my best friend at all." The smile drops off Geralt's face, heart skipping a slow beat. "He's my muse!"

Jaskier has seen what Geralt is, the story Geralt is doomed to repeat. Jaskier has spent the past few years convincing the world that it is wrong – that Geralt is a hero and not a monster. Today though, he saw it. Today he saw that he is the one who is wrong and that the world had it right all along.
He was going to leave because Geralt couldn’t save her.
He was going to leave because one day, maybe, Geralt wouldn’t be able to save him.

Except that there is a hand cupping his jaw, gentle, soft. There is a thumb brushing across his cheekbone. “Never,” Jaskier breathes. A promise. “It wasn’t your fault.”
