Batman’s changed and he’s ready to start fresh - he’s trying to be a good(ish) father to Dick; he’s worked out how to have a platonic friendship with Barbara; and he’s even starting to warm up to the idea of being part of an… f-word again. With all this new stuff happening in his home life, the familiarity of fighting the Joker should be a welcome relief, especially now that his feelings are out in the open. Just one problem - Joker doesn’t seem to want to fight anymore.

Peter at a young age thought that he didn't have a soulmate like everyone else. Until one day the marks started to show up. Bruises and scratches littered Peter's skin and he couldn't stop it. the pain grew more antagonizing as time on and he started to go into comas. This soulmate curse has made his life hell especially after he becomes Spiderman because how are you ever supposed to help protect a city if you have uncontrollable naps? Peter hasn't decided whether he wants to give his soulmate an earful when they meet or to hug them and tell them they don't need to feel anymore pain. Little does he know he'll be doing both.

People who can't fly are a disgrace and unwanted. Believed they can't be good mate material because they can't participate in an instinct to dance with their potential mate. They are assumed to not understand how to nest, how to raise young....
Peter has wings....He used to fly.
But that was a long, long time ago.

But things just keep getting worse and worse, and finally Toothless can't take it anymore; so he gives his best friend a shove out the door, forcefully freeing him from the abuse--but also pushing him away from the only home he's ever really known--and right into the life of a stray. And that is when he meets a scruffy white haired mixbreed named Jack, who seems determined to show him that living life on his own terms isn't just new and different--it's positively amazing!

Summary
Peter had come to believe those good things in life came to people who wait. Things had to get worse before they could really get better. Not even so much better, really, but he wouldn't mind some of that luck. He guessed that with the way that his life is turning out, it's the only way he can look at it.
Happiness trailed behind sadness.
Good followed bad.
Sickness usually crept up behind health.
Sickness is an all too familiar feeling for him.
"All you need to beat cancer is the right attitude."
That quote had been said to him by the bunch of various doctors that have come and go to treat him. It made sense though, how can you really comfort someone with lung cancer?
He had been homeschooled since he could remember...until he finally decided to try something new.
At this point, his life was complicated enough. Overprotective parents and cancer eating away at his lungs aren't exactly the best mix someone could ask for. He didn't think that his life could possibly get any worse until he enters the eleventh grade for the first time, and meets Wade Wilson. Possibly his most beautiful mistake.
