Summary
Ulchtar is an aerospace engineer working under MECHA, the world's largest anti-alien defense corporation. (If you asked him, he'd even say he's their *finest* aerospace engineer.) He's led their space program since its inception. But his career takes a nosedive after Jazz, one of their best mech pilots, vanishes during MECHA's very first space mission, and his boss decides his talents are no longer necessary.
If he's going to survive, he'll need a lot of help. And if that help comes in the form of a giant robot from space that predates human civilization, who the hell is he to complain?

Summary
After that disastrous day in Iacon Optimus discovers that Sentinel's spark survived. Spurred on by the Matrix and his natural compassion, he decides to grant the false Prime a possibility at a second chance and plants his spark in the Well, so he might be reborn one day, if Primus so wills it.
It's a choice that is often on his mind as the centuries pass and he learns to navigate his new life as the divinely-chosen leader of his people and realizes that the empty space Sentinel left behind cannot be filled with determination and good intentions alone. The mantle of a Prime is heavy and wanting to steer his people right is not enough to make up for not knowing how to lead and manage an entire city, but it's a good start. The rest he can learn, from friends and former foes alike.

Orion emerges, the tiny, weak bitlet Sentinel named himself. He is sure of the hatred he feels for Orion; sure, he'll resent Orion for being born. Sentinel desperately searches for it whenever he looks at Orion, his optics hovering at the tiny, silver pair of wings like his own on his back. Zeta points out how Orion has his optics, how both possess the same warmth whenever they're looking at something dear to them.
"I'll get rid of you when I don't need you anymore," Sentinel tells himself, whispering it to the cooing Orion in his arms.

Optimus spun, his battle mask snapping into place as his ion cannons materialised from subspace. His optics widened as a massive, grey tiltrotor aircraft hurtled out of the sky, slamming into Bumblebee with bone-rattling force. Optimus rushed toward Bumblebee, pushing the smaller bot up. “Bumblebee, are you functional?” he asked, concern clearly in his tone. Bumblebee nodded, rubbing the scuff marks on his backplates.
The situation grew more dire as the aircraft dove toward them again. Optimus braced himself, but something felt... off. As the craft neared, it began to shift. The aircraft… transformed?? A Cybertronian? Oh Primus was that…“Megatron?” he whispered

Summary
It turns out that being wired into giant war machines doesn’t play nice with human brains. The Earth Mechanical Defense Force, or EMDF, learned that the hard way when their pilots started going… neurotic, let’s say, after a few missions.
The obvious solution to that problem was to simply wire the pilot into their mecha permanently, that way their mind wasn’t being strained by the constant in and out. Unfortunately that strategy backfired and the pilots started going neurotic much, much faster, and this time they were giant and made of metal and much harder to put down.
So, the obvious next step would be to pull the plug on that idea and go back to the drawing board, right? No, that’s ridiculous, the next step was obviously to simply…
Make the mecha forget they’d ever been human in the first place.
Somewhere along the line someone should have pulled the plug, but they’d already invested so much into the project, and you know what they say about sunk cost fallacy.

Summary
Mecha Pilot Au and miniformers mashup.
I know that the fun part about the Mecha Pilot is the fact that Jazz is a tiny human in a giant robot while surrounded by giant robots.
But picture this, humans made mechas to fight quints that are mostly the size of elephants, which wouldn't a really good reason to have gigantic mechas to fight them (which is why they are around half to two thirds of their original size), but quints are much more numerous than in Canon, so the mechas help eliminate them fast.
Just like in Canon, Jazz goes to space to find where the hell the invaders are coming from, ends up lost in space and meets Prowl, who is as tall as his waist.
Now Prowl has a tall (and very much wrecked) emotional support Quintesson killer with no self preservation instincts and an even taller battle armor that just kind of imprinted on him for no apparent reason and keeps following him around like a lost Cassette.Series
