Chan’s throat goes dry. He did.
He didn’t think Jeongin would remember. The coded vocabulary was created and used during their trainee days, whenever they needed help to get out of an unsafe situation. Whenever a certain instructor got too close. Too touchy.

“Kiss me?” Chan requests, voice small. He doesn't ask for things very often, but he's feeling a little needy this morning.
Minho hesitates for a moment, long enough that Chan almost thinks he's going to be denied. Then, Minho hums. “Sure,” he says, and in a heartbeat, there's a pair of lips pressed to Chan's own. He sighs in content and kisses back lazily, languidly.
Not until they part does it register in Chan's brain that it wasn't Minho kissing him. Minho didn't even move, and he doesn't kiss like that. Chan's stomach somersaults. He wets his lips. “Who… who else is here?”
“Perceptive, aren't you?” Minho teases. “Clever boy.” Chan's cheeks heat up. He doesn't get a reply, only gets Minho's slick finger sliding inside of him so easily, so perfectly. With the absence of sight, Chan feels everything so much more vividly, and just the single finger alone is enough to have his belly sizzling with heat. Minho works his way up to a second digit before saying: “Why don't you try and guess, hm?”

"Hyung!" someone screams, and Chan's head lolls as his shoulder is jostled. He's pretty sure his eyes are open, but everything around him is dark and blurry.
"How many did you take?" another voice demands.
Chan racks his brain to remember. His mind feels like it's stuffed with cotton, his thoughts as slow as molasses.
"I don't-" he croaks, his throat painfully dry. "I just-"
"Please, Chan, how many pills did you take?"
Something breaks in him then, the final thread of his composure snapping, and tears burst forth freely, soaking into the sleeve of his sweatshirt. The floor feels ice cold underneath him.
"I just wanted to sleep," he cries. The lights are too bright, the voices too loud. His head is pounding in time with his erratic heart and everything is so overwhelming, too much for his brain to take anymore.
"I'm so tired," he whimpers as someone pulls him into a hug. "I just want to sleep."

With comeback deadlines creeping up on him and his insomnia being the worst it's ever been, Chan struggles to keep his head above water.
