Summary
Gavin Reed is seriously over worked, and finding it hard to cope in these new integrated times. It's no secret he hasn't been the same for the last couple years. Angry, bitter, resentful and on the edge of a mental breakdown. He's struggling to cope as Connor takes it upon himself to knock his walls down and throw his comfortable belief system into question. How the hell is he supposed to do his job if he starts seeing these smashed up robots as people?
A chance encounter at Cyberlife leaves him with even more than he bargained for as he's forced to work with a new partner. Over time he slowly decides that maybe the RK900 isn't so bad. Anything more than that? Hell no. Not Gavin Reed. No way.

So, there’s a kernel of a kink meme prompt in here somewhere, basically asking for Dean and Cas in a sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship, but I totally lost track of that and ended up writing this. I mostly just wanted to write a story where Cas buys Dean a lot of jewelry and other nice things. Totally self-indulgent of me.
In any case, Dean and Sam are a couple of throwaway kids. John’s got himself a new family that Sam can have no part of, because teenage Alphas are dangerous. So until Sam can go away to a boarding school for young Alphas, Dean’s taking care of Sam the best he can on his own. At first John sends them money, but the amount gets smaller and smaller and eventually stops. Dean does what he has to do to survive, including starting a relationship with his neighbor- wealthy loner Castiel who’s happy to buy things for the Winchesters in exchange for Dean’s company and time.
Or is it strictly a mercenary exchange of sex for money? It isn’t on Castiel’s side.

Original prompt: Dean is still a hunter, his past is the same, he still became a Demon the same way, still got caught by Sam after his fight with Cole but then the cure didn’t work because he's a Knight of Hell. So while Sam and Cas are off talking about what to do next Crowley frees Dean because they've been fooling around but Dean goes off on his own only to turn up again a few weeks later, coming to Cas' aide when he's being attacked. Dean flirts and jokes that he knows how Cas can thank him. Cas of course gets flustered and Dean leaves with a smirk or a smart-ass comment or something else Dean like. Cas knows that he can't have relations like that with a Demon and especially not Dean, he's best friend but he finds the desire has been awoken in him and he's increasingly powerless to stop himself when Dean teases and flirts and touches him.
