It's the first winter after Pitch's defeat. Jack is happy, he's not alone anymore, and his memories are gradually returning. But when a treasure hunt gone wrong puts Jack and Jamie in danger, flinging them through time and space, they find themselves on an island neither of them have heard of before. Jack's first priority is to get Jamie home safe, but Berk's inhabitants - human and otherwise - are certainly not making it easy.
Knowing they will leave Berk and the Vikings behind as soon as they know how to, Jack is not going to risk the pain of growing close to any of these people (or dragons, for that matter). But Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, wearing his heart on his sleeve, doesn't seem to want to take the hint.

Jimmy’s frantic mutterings of “No no no no–” were almost immediately overtaken by Tango’s shouting the moment the culprit came into view.
"SCAR!"
Scar’s retreating form paused for only a second so he could flash a grin back over his shoulder, and it took everything Jimmy had to remind himself that Scar didn’t know, he didn’t know, he didn’t mean anything by it, it’s all a game to him, it’s all a game–He shouldn’t have left the ranch.
The thought lingered, unwilling to be let go.
He shouldn’t have left the nest. He should have stayed, and maybe he could have stopped Scar before he took up the flint and steel. Maybe he could have stopped him from even getting close. Or maybe, even if Jimmy noticed too late, he could have stopped the spread of the flames before they got out of control.
But more than that…
He should have told Grian.
There was no avoiding it now, he reasoned, as he drew his knees to his chest to try and cradle the blanket-wrapped egg a little closer, to try and keep it a little warmer. Grian had to know. After that evening’s catastrophic turn of events, it was far far too risky to go any longer without speaking up.Series

Summary
The old Evolution server and its downfall is a tragic story of an admin who played god a little too well and sent the world and everyone in it into corruption in his madness.
Most think that it's actually just a ghost story made up to teach some kind of lesson, but Scar learns just how real the story actually is when he tumbles into Evolution's glitchy server portal and meets the admin who used to run the place, and boy is he pretty. It isn't long before the player finds himself breaking more rules than necessary and putting himself in danger from all-seeing gods just to learn more about this mysterious admin who's named for the sun.

Grian hadn't ever been expecting someone to follow through on courting ritual with him. He'd been crushing hard on his co-worker turned crime-fighting partner for years at this point, and Scar certainly had no idea that avians had that sort of thing. Specific little thoughtful gestures that would send a sign that whoever was doing the deed was interested. And as much as Grian would adore being spoiled by Scar performing all these little things that made his wings ruffle under his red sweater, pleased and basking in the attention, he knew it would never happen. Scar didn't know about avian courtship ritual.
He didn't.
Grian knew that he didn't know.
So if he didn't, why was he doing every ritual so perfectly?{In which Scar stumbles ass-backward into performing all 5 of the typical avian courtship gestures in his attempts at wooing Grian, Grian is desperately trying to convince himself he's still in the friend zone, Jimmy's busy having his own relationship crisis, and Pearl will meddle all she needs if it'll get these idiots together already.}

Scar starts to speak, taking a step forward, but Grian takes a step back, planting his hands on Scar’s shoulders. “It is too rash!” he insists. ”Too unadvised, too sudden. Too like the lightning, which doth cease to be ere one can say, ‘it lightens’.”
Scar says nothing — he has no written line here. But he takes Grian’s hand in his. He holds it, gently, as if it’s something fragile. Grian’s completely blindsided as he feels a pang in his chest. Oh, Scar.
He places his other hand over Scar’s, squeezing it reassuringly. His voice is soft as he finishes his line. “Sweet, good night…”
Aah. This is the part of the scene where Scar and Pearl would’ve. You know.
He sees Scar give an imperceptible nod, eyes locked with his.
Grian is cast as Juliet and Scar is cast as Romeo as they rehearse the balcony scene oh no I wonder what could possibly happen

Sighing, he sat down on the likely filthy ground, cringing when he felt his lower feathers sweep against it. Anything to be non-threatening. The kids' distrust was palpable and the only thing he could do was ask questions and hope for an answer.
”How long have you been out here? Uh, and who were you with?” he started, trying to construct a timeline of events in his head. Those were important, right?
“I was separated from my two brothers a couple hours ago,” they explained, voice wavering slightly, “They’re fuckin’ strong and would kick the shit out of a bitch like you.”

Phil, a man who never quite came back out of his shell after losing his wife, finds a very lost Tommy in an alley and offers to help find his family and give him a place to stay for the night. No good deed goes left unpunished and a severe lapse in communication leaves him bedridden for days with some new faces to help him out.

He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

Techno stared down at the ‘human,’ it stared up at him. Its ribs were poking out which generally was not a good sign and the look in its eyes proved that the creature was intelligent and the copious bruises and cuts and scrapes proved it was easy to hurt.
The inexplicable urge to see the thing wrapped up in the nest and covered in gold came over Technoblade then. Yup, this is the one. This is his new runt… he’s got his work cut out for him.
Just as Techno was about to open his mouth and ask the cost the dreamon added something that made Techno want the human even more.
“Also, it may not look it, but those ratty curls shine like gold with a proper washing. We don’t have the means here to make it shine properly but I’m sure you can. So what do you say?”
“How much?”
OR: Techno is a piglin in search of a runt and human Tommy who was yoinked away from earth years ago fits that description. problem is: Techno doesn't know that humans are an intelegent species and Tommy has no plan to tell him so. and it's not like Techno had any way to know, he got him from an illegal black market pet shop. oh, also Wilbur's been working a translater for a new recently descovered species!

So, Tommy was pretty sure he was in a video game.
How he came to that conclusion, you might ask?
Oh, well, you know, he just went to sleep one night in the bedroom he shared with the two other kids at his latest foster home, clutching Henry to his chest and trying to ignore the snores from the bed across the room – and then woke up somewhere else. In an alley. A fucking dirty alley overflowing with trash, he might add. He was pretty sure he’d even heard rats scattering around somewhere. It also had been winter, the morning air cold and quickly seeping through his thin pyjama. The only other thing he’d had with him were Henry and his blanket, laying on the ground.
You know, just your typical Tuesday.

Tommy wakes up in a world where the new video game everyone is talking about is *very* real. That includes the three main villains, heads of an organization called ‘The Syndicate’. But it’s totally fine! He just has to make sure he never meets them – he’s got a feeling they won’t be pleased about another crow hybrid in an otherwise hybrid-less world.
