Summary
Prince Dennis Targaryen, first of his name, was never meant to sit the Iron Throne.
Prince Dennis Targaryen, first of his name, became a Westerosi King of such legend that they spoke his name with reverence a thousand years on.
"Hello, little nephew," Robby says, voice low, looking down at him. "My. Haven't you grown."
He has. He flushes, just a touch. Robby, too, has changed. He looks older. A little more lined, just a little. He's kept the scruff that men seem to favour when on the battlefield, and it suits him. He looks like a terrible, dangerous King.

Summary
August, 1944-- European Theatre
112th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, AKA the “Bloody Bucket” DivisionIt is a little-known fact that, in war, there exist three sides: the attackers, the defenders, and the environment itself. Humans can be swayed by their emotions, but the Earth feels nothing for those waging war on her surface. The battlefield does not care who you are-- it swallows the faithful and the damned alike.
Dennis Whitaker still believes in saving people.
Colonel Robby knows better.Between the dying and the dead, prayers and exhaustion, and hands that refuse to stop reaching-- something fragile takes root.
But in a war that devours everything in its path, even hope can feel like a sin.
or
Dennis Whitaker never intended to enlist, as a medic or as a soldier. Now that he's here, though, he's going to save as many lives as possible, or die trying.

Summary
“I haven’t really been to a wedding where I’ve, uh… let loose. But, hey,” Dennis shrugged, “maybe I’m doing it wrong.”
“If I hadn’t already agreed to go to this conference, I’d offer to go with you,” Robby said casually. “Show you how it’s done. I’ve got a good track record as a plus-one, too.” Dennis had to say something. To interrupt. To shut this down. But what was he supposed to say? No, you can’t be my plus one, because I lied about my cousin, and there is no wedding, and it seems a little weird to bring a date to a fucking funeral– “Apparently parents love it when you bring home a doctor.”
And just like that, the bubble popped.
“I’m not gay,” Dennis snapped.
He had never hated the sound of his own voice as much as he did right then.
---
Or, Dennis is anxiously headed home for a "wedding" in Broken Bow, Nebraska, the details of which are increasingly fuzzy. Robby's got a medical conference in Omaha that same weekend. So they carpool. Seventeen hours both ways in an enclosed space with no way out except a tuck and roll. This'll go great.- Language:

Summary
With a blink, Dennis looks at him. What is that expression? Why does he make it so often? Does he look like that at other people, too?
“Nothing, really,” he says with a huff. Michael watches the flickers of his face like one would falling stars. “Just something Caleb said…”
“What’d he say?”
“That we're an endangered species… That we can't afford to lose any more human lives.”

“Holy shit,” Santos says. “There’s a baby priest in triage.”
-
Dennis Whitaker, in his last year of seminary, is delighted to be assigned to a rectory in Pittsburgh, and to the hospital chaplaincy that comes along with it. Finally, he's out into the world, where he can be of real use.
Slightly less welcome is Doctor Robinavitch, the senior attending of the ER, who seems to resent Whitaker's presence to the point of deliberate avoidance, even though the man is coming apart at the seams and could clearly use a friendly ear. Still, Whitaker is certain he'll find a way to make the most of the last twelve months before he's ordained.
It's just that lately he's started to have the strangest dreams.
Or: Dennis Whitaker and Michael Robinavitch's lovestruck, sacrilegious year of magical thinking.

Summary
mormon missionary dennis whitaker is trying to convert married rabbot. I'm not good at summaries bro clearly that does not work out and they fuck him nasty instead.
(It’s temptation, it’s wrong, the way they touch him. On his back, on his shoulder, ruffling his hair. It’s so warm. Their hands are big, grounding, and it feels good, and it shouldn’t. It really, really, really shouldn’t. Tendrils of want curl through his ribcage, aching, filthy. Two men who mean nothing by it, two men who are always so pleasant, with their home-cooked meals and their warm hands. It’s Dennis making it sinful, with his swirling, dirty thoughts.)

Summary
Dennis Whitaker comes to the Fold because he has nowhere else left to go.
Hidden deep in the Pennsylvanian mountains, the secluded community offers him a place to live, help finishing medical school, and a future he thought he’d already lost. The Shepherd himself - Jack Abbot - welcomes him warmly, the flock members treat him like family, and for the first time in months Dennis feels like things might finally be working out.
Then there’s Robby - the quiet lumberjack who keeps watch over the commune and the forest alike, who rarely speaks but always seems to notice everything, and who seemingly never strays far from Dennis’ side.
However, the longer Dennis stays, the harder it becomes to ignore the feeling that something about the Fold isn’t quite right - and that the people who run it already have planned exactly who the young med student is supposed to be.

Summary
The stranger from the stairwell stops beside a bank of linen cabinets and folds his arms loosely across his chest.
No, not a stairwell stranger, Dennis reminds himself. His attending.
He opens his mouth. “Dr. Robby—”
“You are a fourth-year medical student on rotation in my department,” Dr. Robby cuts off, “and what happened in the stairwell this morning does not change that.”
Dennis swallows.Dennis Whitaker didn't need fate to tell him he was meant to be a doctor. He just really wasn't expecting his new attending on his very last rotation of medical school to say the words inked around his bicep.

'There's a notification clogging up his screen.
Dennis Whitaker (R1): Hey, just wanted to check in with you after yesterday. It was intense. And also, that thing you were asking about? I feel like Trin kinda got in your head about it. Amy's really just a friend. She needs help on the farm, with a baby, and I'm pretty good at farmwork. That's all.
It's entirely too much justification for your boss.'
Robby finally makes it to his sabbatical.
Whitaker finds himself a little adrift without his boss around.
Jack is just trying to make sure the both of them are happy.

Summary
And Dennis is already attuned to Robby’s smallest move, can pick out his tics as effectively as Dana can and with his hand inside of Dennis, he thinks he can feel Robby’s blood moving faster. A fine tremble, absorbed by the hug of Dennis’ body.
“They say it shouldn’t hurt,” Robby chats, transparently uncasual, “if you do it right—”
“It doesn’t,” Dennis says quickly. “It doesn’t hurt at all.”
“I’ve got another hand,” Robby jokes, hammy smile, eyebrows raised, “if you were looking for something bigger.”
“I don’t need anything bigger,” Dennis says, and Robby’s face crumples.
Robby thinks he’s in charge. Dennis isn’t so sure.

Whitaker is the homeless, broke third-year intern.
Of course they were always going to take him home.
Just not like that.

Summary
Dennis has never really noticed what the locker room sounds like. Unintelligible conversation from the hallway, faint beeping from the floor, a squeaky pipe yelling somewhere above them. All of it’s background noise compared to the sound of Robby inhaling his shirt, his breath catching on an almost sound, like something trapped behind bars.
Dennis legs feel like they evaporated. “What—”
“Might if I borrow this,” Robby says, voice cracking, almost as if he’s about to laugh but his face is ashen. His eyes are everywhere except for Dennis’ face. And before Dennis can answer or scream or drop to his knees, Robby’s jogging out the door.
“Sure!” Dennis says a minute later. “Have a good night!”
A zillion times Dennis fluffs Robby for Noelle, one time he doesn’t.

Summary
He unbuttons the cuff of his sleeve and folds it back, exposing his wrist all the way, showing Raylan the rest of his tattoo: it’s not a dog, it’s wilder than that. It’s a wolf maybe, but it looks a little too thin, too hungry.
“It’s a coyote,” Tim says. And it's a mean one,Raylan thinks but doesn’t say aloud. Its ears are pushed back flat against its head. Its muzzle is open and pulled back into a grimace, a growl, his tongue lolling dangerously from its sharp teeth. Its paws are long and clawed, its full tail wrapped protectively around itself. It looks ready to bite.
On his way back to Kentucky after a long week chasing a fugitive, Raylan Givens stops at a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere to put his feet up and have a drink or two. Sitting at the bar, he catches the eye of a young ex-soldier, recently returned home from war. Raylan invites him to sit with him awhile, keep him company.

Summary
Robby raises an eyebrow. Dennis’ eyes widen, and he nods. It’s more than irresponsible, but Dennis is more than pretty, waiting against Robby’s pillow, squirming every few seconds while Robby decides.
“Just this,” he promises, as if this is any better, working in the tip, holding it there. Daring either of them to move. One of them is gasping. Dennis’ body is vice tight, liquid heat, which makes Robby feel like a fucking wild animal. Untrained, unfit for survival beyond containment. When Dennis whines, Dr. Robby, his fingers fluttering uncertainly, it’s their saving grace.
“Fucking insane,” Robby mutters, slamming a hand to the bedside drawer, bagging himself. “Never do that,” he reprimands both of them. “Never. Understand?” Dennis nods, flinching, cock flagging. Robby works him stiff again. “Say you understand.”
“Yeah, got it, unless it’s you.”
Robby meets his match.
