Dazai swore that his heart dropped in that instance, and his brain completely short-circuited and rewired without his explicit content. He could handle drunk Chuuya when he was loud and full of complaints. But this was a version of Chuuya he’d never seen before, drunk or not. Dazai wasn’t sure he could handle this at all.
