again and he silently begged for any sea god to please let him out of the dizzying, pitch-black hell. His body ached from getting beaten into the box’s side. The water was stale and disgusting in his gills. There wasn’t any light and he couldn’t see anything.
He was so full of fear he was beginning to get numb to it.
He didn’t know what these humans wanted with him, but he knew it couldn’t be good if they started by shoving him into this too-small box and tossing him around like a boat on an angry sea.

Red Hood’s modulated voice is bone-chilling. Nearly every sleaze-bag in Crime Alley had become accustomed to the gravely robotic nature of it. The unnatural shifts in his words and the variations in pitch being just ever so slightly off putting. Borderline uncanny, yet everyone who’s heard it knows there’s a human behind that voice. A man who choses to blow a hole through someone’s skull without so much of an afterthought.
Though, no one had ever heard that voice scream.
Not until tonight.
Or, Red Hood is captured, Nightwing saves him and while helping him afterwards, puts the wrong puzzle pieces together and confronts him which does not go quite how he planned.

Summary
Tim Drake was dead.
It wasn't anything remarkable. In fact, his death went unnoticed by the world for nearly a decade. That's because despite having died, Tim kept on living. Sure he might be a ghost now, but he still got hurt, he still bled when cut, he still ate, he still went to school. To anyone else, it looked like he was a normal, if slightly pale and skinny, boy. He worked hard to pretend that he was alive when he knew he wasn't. Hiding what he was from everyone, including Batman.
But all that starts to unravel when his grave is threatened to be disturbed.
The major character death tag is for Tim.

Dick is a psychic, a pretty powerful one, but they can't say they take much pride in their "gift." Fat good it does them, though, if they can't even figure out why so many prostitutes in Blüdhaven are being found dead in alleyways. They end up on the radar of Ra's a Ghul, a man who has long been eager to get his hands on abilities such as Dick's, or at least that's what their dead brother tells them. At first they can't say they believe him, considering they aren't quite sure he isn't just a hallucination. Though, Jason never looked grown up like this before, and he definitely hasn't been able to physically touch them, that's for sure. The two are forced on the run as they dodge assassins, bounty hunters, and the law, learning far more about each other along the way than they ever intended to.Bookmarked by mrs_d
