Once keepers of balance between light and shadow, the Brotherhood of the Hollow Flame stood as guardians of all magic born of dragon flame.
But when the last dragons began to die, they tried to take that power to preserve it — and were cursed instead.
What became of the order is uncertain.
Some writings say the curse hollowed them from within, leaving them forever hunting for the fire they lost. Others claim it bound them to the dragons’ dying breath, turning their blood dark and restless.Since then, the Brotherhood has withered into a scattered order, haunted by the hollowing the curse left behind.

It is Yuletide in Camelot. On the eve before Yule, Arthur and Merlin profess their love. Then Arthur finds out about Merlin's magic and his years of deception. He is hurt and angry until the spirits of Yuletide come to him and show him the full truth about Merlin. There is some angst along the way, but an eventual happy ending makes for a satisfying holiday story. This tale is, of course, inspired by Dickens' timeless Christmas story: "A Christmas Carol."

Or: Merlin decides to move to inner city 20th Century London to pull his life back together. Instead, he meets John Watson and Sherlock Holmes and- well let's just say his life gets a lot more interesting then he had planned on.
[The mature rating is mostly for some more heavy handed crime scene and murder descriptions, as well as some focus on mental health. Don't worry though! We add warnings in the start-of-chapter notes, and mark parts to skip.
It isn't nearly as serious as the tags suggest, we promise there’s loads of fun stuff in here too to balance out the angst (like ample sass and sarcasm; this is a Sherlock Merlin crossover, after all)]
