It's been roughly one year since the barrier fell and Monsterkind returned to the Surface. In that time Humans and Monsters figured out a way to make SOME form of co-existence happen after months of arguing with local and federal governments. While not everything is completely peaceful, Frisk the human is looking forward to a bit of normalcy in the form of their fifth grade school year at Skyline Elementary. But normal is a hard thing to come by for the young ambassador. At least they have their monster family to lean on when things get tough.

The gods helped the humans to survive and in turn the fallen being worshiped the gods who showed them such mercy. It was a tenuous peace at best. With the murder of the god prince Asriel that peace was irrevocably shattered. In the aftermath of the Holy War, gods departed from mankind all together, letting man live in the squalor he'd dug himself into.
Asriel's power had not vanished from the realm of man, but was reborn in a child destined to end the war and bring lasting peace back to the world. -
