Summary
You'd think that getting into violent conflicts with the knights of Hyrule on a semi-regular basis will give a guy better insight on how the curse affecting these knights actually works. Except there is no time to analyse when a sword is pointed at you with lethal intent, no empathy to have when survival on the line.
When you're running to avoid more blood staining your hands, how much attention can you pay to the suffering of your opponent?
Despite Zelda's best efforts, the knights of Hyrule will always be a threat to Link. But when the result of an altercation with a pair of knights contradicts his expectations, Link realises that there is more to the curse than he previously thought.
What is Link supposed to do? Not follow the mystery?

Zelda had requested his assistance, so Link set out to learn what he could to about these strange new threats. Encountering heroes from the past was a surprise, but it gave him hope to have friends by his side.
He did his best to hold onto that hope, but that is harder than it should be when his first impression isn’t all that great.
When all is said and done, Link - Wild - must decide if the Heroes of the Forgotten Past are worth opening up to.

Summary
The camper stands, and Four’s own hand immediately darts to grip the hilt of his blade, a reflection of the stranger before them. His potential opponent doesn’t unsheathe his blade, but his gaze follows Four’s movement carefully as he twists around to keep all of them out of his blind spot.
As he does so, Four finally gets a good look at the strangers front—and suddenly he feels sick to his stomach.
The silver glint he saw earlier isn’t a necklace like he thought it was.
It’s a handprint.
It sits just underneath his chin, and with the stranger directly facing him, Four gets a clear view of the way the fingers and thumb frame his jawline, of how they curl inward. The palm of the handprint is right over the windpipe, the thumb and fingers digging into the pulse points at the curve of the jaw.
It looks like… the stranger’s soulmate was… trying to strangle him.
And it’s silver. That’s… that’s Four’s color.
“Who exactly are you guys?” The camper demands, purple eyes ice cold and locked right onto Four.

Warriors should've paid more attention to his symptoms. Perhaps if he had, he wouldn't be stuck in a rundown inn with Legend of all people. If he'd just admitted to Time that he wasn't feeling well, then the others wouldn't be stuck fighting a pack of infected monsters with hardly any supplies.
And maybe if Legend wasn't being so irritatingly stubborn, then Warriors wouldn't have to feel guilty about being the reason the others wouldn't be receiving those much needed supplies.

Summary
They all share a glance before they race up and join Wild’s hand. All of theirs hands pass through the portal while Wild’s stays in its place.
“He’s needed.” Sky breathes out, voice as faint as the glow the master sword slowly starts to emit from his back. “They need you to stay.”
The silence that falls upon them immediately suffocates Warriors and, by the look that takes over most of their faces, he isn’t the only one.
“No.” Legend says harshly before he grabs Wild by the arm and shoves him towards the portal, growling when, instead of passing through, the champion smacks himself against it. “I said no.”
(Or the one where a new portal opens up, unsurprisingly, but, surprisingly, Wild can't pass through. They all have a hard time coming to terms with it and what it means before they resign themselves to say goodbye, promising, and praying, it won't last.)
