Summary
Thor's coronation is in a week, and Loki is desperate to keep his block-headed brother from the throne. Committing treason seems a step far, however, so he makes a decision. He'll use a spell to look into the future. If Thor's reign is a disaster, he'll go ahead with his plan. If by some miracle everything is fine, then he'll let Thor be crowned.
The future is not what he expected.

Odin finds it a good idea to get him back to asgard so the gods can keep track of what Loki is doing or planning to do. Eventually, While Thor and Loki celebrate christmas together, they notice their feelings for eachother go deper than brotherly affection and risk everything by starting a relationship ... The rest of the world arrived at the ruins of the Avengers compound not long after the battle’s sudden end. CNN. MSNBC. Fox. Every local news outlet in the state of New York. Medical crews. And Damage Control, of course, to pick through whatever was left.
Some perfunctory interviews were conducted. Basic facts were laid out in clipped, hurried syllables for the curious, frightened reporters who gathered at the scene. Some of those reporters were left at a loss for words.
Everyone, it seemed, wanted to talk to Captain America. But the leader of the Avengers was no longer there. He had already left on a Quinjet with Pepper Potts-Stark and seven others. Seven volunteers for another mission.
Word rippled out into the ether: Iron Man had fallen. Tony Stark had died to save us all.
And eight witnesses wanted to help his wife bring him home.

Summary
It was nothing special to Tony that Thor didn't show up frequently. Only when said Thunderer finally does show up, completely injured and confused, with a screaming bundle in his arms, he slowly discovvers what terrible things have happened to his friend. He gets his friends to heal their injuries, but their Asgardian was not only hurt physically, but mentally as well, maybe even stronger. Together, they try their best to ease Thor's fear and struggle to find out who did this to him and his brother Loki.
