#1: Write a short story set entirely in a bar.
It’s all a very intelligent system. If he drinks at night he doesn’t fall apart in the morning, and if he drinks himself to sleep he won’t dream about Kitsune and the brutal deaths of his brothers. If he can live everyday just for the sake of his beloved drinking time at the Foot Clan’s bar, then he’s living for something, and if he’s living for something, he’s living. Even if none of it feels like life, and even the blissful escape of drowning his shattered mind with alcohol becomes null and void, just like everything else in his life.
A three-fingered hand startles him harshly as it falls over his shell, pulling his head from the cage of his arms to look at his baby brother as he sits in the stool beside him, a complex look of furrowed brows and sorrow twisting his green face.
