WIP project, so titles and tags will be updated as I figure this story out. Uploads will be generally one a week around the first half of the week (I can't keep on a schedule apparently so take this with a whole gallon of salt).
There is a 1:1 Minecraft Java Edition world for this fan-fiction. There will be a copy of the world file of each chapter available upon release so you can explore for yourself!
If you don't have Minecraft Java or can't get the world file set up, I'll also provide a slideshow of screenshots to show what the area looks like.-

Summary
My name is Alex MacLane and I am a Space Ranger in the Universal Exploration Unit. I have been given a new assignment by Star Command. A new planet has been discovered in the Persson System called Planet Mojang. Many probes have been sent to the planet, but as soon as they’ve entered the planet’s atmosphere, their signal is lost. From what intel has been gathered so far, it appears to be a hospitable planet that meets the Goldilocks criteria. From visible structures in orbit, it also appears that there may be intelligent life on the planet though all of this is speculation at this point.
The task I have been assigned is to go to Planet Mojang and verify if it is hospitable, if there is any natural resources that can be extracted, and above all, if there is intelligent life on the planet. I will be beamed directly to the surface and report my findings from there. I have volunteered to go alone, fully knowing that I may never return. After one hundred days, I will return to the rendezvous point and be beamed back to Star Command to review my findings and figure out a plan moving forward.
Hopefully I survive.

“I– get away from me!” Gem shouted, and FWhip was surprised by her new clothes. She looked different in corduroy overalls and a long-sleeved, pastel green shirt, and her hair was shorter. “You’re a pillager, why are you here?”
“I’m your brother, Gem!” FWhip said desperately. When Gem turned and ran, he raced after her, and grabbed her sleeve, trying to stop her. “We’re siblings!”
“Help!” Gem cried, and FWhip was too distracted to see the two golems heading his way. A hard iron arm hit him, throwing him up into the air and away from Gem. His head hurt from the impact– the soft terrain had absorbed some of the damage but his mind was reeling at the fact that Gem didn’t recognize him and that she was some sort of villager and apparently he was a pillager, the villagers’ worst enemy.
